So I noticed something recently...
As players of the PS3 version of The Pinball Arcade know, for a long time there's been a glitch where the ball would go through the flippers if it's going too fast. Well, here's the interesting part: the pinball game on the Genesis version, Star Ball, actually has that glitch too.
Either it's a massive coincidence, or one of FarSight's programmers somehow decided to make a little tribute to A52 by doing that.
