I'll not have this website have a Panzer Dragoon article without having an Elemental Gearbolt article, so I'm going to start writing one after I finish my Sengoku article (which will be done sometime tonight). I have a problem though. I can't get Elemental Gearbolt to run on ePSXe at all. Would anyone be willing to take an assload of screenshots for this game? I plan on writing a fairly lengthy piece.

I've never tried it on ePSXe, but I'll give it a shot. You can play it without the Guncon, right? Failing the emulator, I'll just use my capture card, but I'm pretty sure I'd need to use the controller.
Also, didn't the same company also make Proejct Horned Owl, which is a similar game? You don't need to cover it, just make a mention if necessary.

Yeah, it was developed by Alfa System who also made P:HO. And no, you don't need a lightgun to play it, but playing it any other way is nearly impossible. Doesn't ePSXe have a mouse lightgun feature similar to ZSNES's mouse superscope and various NES emulators' mouse zapper?

OK! In order to avoid people stepping on each others toes when it comes to article writing, I'm starting up this thread so people can reserve topics for whatever they want to write about. Just post and I'll try to keep this OP updated with it. Only post here if you're definitely going to work on it (not just thinking about it), or are in the process of it already.
The problem with "reserve lists" like these is that's it's possible people will want to write an article on something, and then leave the forums or just forget about it. That's perfectly okay, but it prevents other people from taking them. So, by each game, I am posting an "expiration" date. Whoever claimed the game needs to respond that they're still interesting in the article, and at least working on it to some extent. I'm making this date three months from today, and going forward, three months from whenever the claim is made. If a status progress is given, then it'll be extended another
Wiping this clean!

I too shall join the list. Sign me up for the Lufia series as well as Parasite Eve to start. Hopefully I'll get some points to my newcomer status as well

Slap me on there for Steambot Chronicles. I have an outline for Solstice series around here, I'll give that one guy time to do it if he wants.

Put me down for Outzone/FixEight, and Heavy Barrel/Bloody Wolf/Thunder Zone. I already started Outzone/FixEight and have played both the TG and arcade Bloody Wolfs, I just want to grab Heavy Barrel on the NES again before I begin in earnest (I believe it got an official PC port as well).

However, if someone else is willing to do Bushido Blade one, I'm willing to help with bushido blade 2

Kurt don't you think you should make some kind of rules or guidelines as to what the articles should be about and what kind of images and music they should have? I mean, I'm sure everyone if gonna do fine SO FAR, but what about in the future when more people start contributing stuff? I don't want the articles to become gamefaqs reviews and I especially don't want the articles to become like all the other articles on the net, where they only focus on one version and don't mention the differences between the Japanese or Euro ones. I've seen a couple or articles where I could tell the person didn't really play the game much, others didn't even play the game to the finish and others didn't play the game at all. Some games you just have to beat to end up liking them, how are you gonna find out about that if you never actually beat the game?
I know I can't expect each... 'reviewer' to know the whole series they're writing about 100%, but if you want to do a series and don't know or haven't played them all, then it's best if you focus on one game or play the whole series completely, without cheats and taking your time to enjoy (or not enjoy) the game like it was supossed to, with no cheats and no half game reviews.
Hell, Kurt spends months tracking down a game so he can play it for days (or weeks) and write about it. If he does it then why can't you?
I'm starting to see the box art region differences diminish with each article and the game descriptions are starting to be a little less than espectacular. No offense to the writers, but I won't mention names.
