Something that most people don't know about Mother is that the game we know as Earthbound Zero is very different from the original Japanese one. Some enemies were changed and the last boss (or is it the ending?) is changed completely, among other things.
What's weird is that in the Japanese only GBA Mother 1&2 collection they didn't include the original Famicom Mother, but the one we know as Earthbound Zero.
So the real Famicom Mother with the smoking crows has been phased out I guess.

stick me down for Hell Night on the PS1! I have it almost done as you know- just working on editing the text and the images! I can't wait anymore! Megatronbison, what the hell is Hell Night? I can't find any information on this game. Sorry about the wait on this article- my ePSXe was playing up for a few weeks there- not only that byt my job was causing me major headaches- I'm going to strive to get the last pictures and the editing of the article text done asap! edit: good news! I finished it with every character today and got a bunch of snap shots. I'll edit the text of the article again and then submit it and a big bunch of pics to Kurt to use as he see's fit

I've been playing the Toaplan shooters a lot recently. Don't know if I'm skilled enough to even get through Truxton II, but I'm trying.

I retract my statement of writing an article on Drill Dozer. I like the game, but I kind of lost interest in writing it and there are way more faults in the game then I previously knew about / noticed while playing through it again.
Also, update front page of this thread?

Yeah, I'll have to give up on Sweet Home for awhile. If someone else wants to tackle it, go ahead.

Pretty sure the NES and Arcade versions were different. It was also released for the Famicom Disk System under the same name, but I don't know if there are any major differences between that one and the NES. Chances are there are minor sound changes.

This guy might: www.thealmightyguru.com/Reviews/SectionZ/index.htmlAlthough he is incorrect in asuming that the nes version is the same year as the arcade one, which is 1985. You can find the arcade version on the PS2 Capcom Classic Collection. It's a fun little game that I often play.

Section Z, Side Arms and Forgotten Worlds are part of the unofficial Capcom guy-in-suit shoot-em-up "series".
I know the NES and Arcade versions of Section Z are quite a bit different.

The fact that there is a "guy-in-suit shoot-em-up series" Makes this all the more worthwhile

Hey, if it's not already taken:
I was thinking of doing articles on three series:
the Outpost series (I own both games)--might also include something about Alien Legacy if I get a copy of the game on time.
The Space Quest series.
and maybe Alone in the Dark if someone else will cover A New Nightmare.
Also, months ago I said I was gonna do an Ultima article... I've given up on it, so if someone else wants it, its up for grabs.

I bought AitD: New Nightmare for $10 because I was considering doing something concerning the series. Now all I need to do is replace my broken PS2 with the reimbursement money for my textbooks.

Hey all. I've been lurking for a short while and following HG101 for a long while (ever since the classical red background days. The black is much easier on my eyes - thanks!). With the quality of the recent articles, I've decided that this is a good place for hardcore diehard classic gamers to share their knowledge of games - so I decided to start writing something. Already a few htmls in, I've realized that I probably should call this game series already, though not many people would be crazy enough to do it. Also, if for some reason the webmaster decides not to ever do this game, this would be a good time to find out before I write the other 500 pages for this game (more like 5, but...). So - the Romance of the Three Kingdoms series by KOEI, and a few spinoffs. I really think it is unrealistic to do all of them (at least including the chinese ones!). Maybe it suffices to do the KOEI spinoffs - but it should be hard to find people who have played all of them, so... Yeah. Well, hope this works. -Y.Z. Are you still working on this? Because I reallllllly want to read it.

The Nobunaga games were Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but set in Japan.
They also made a online Romance game over in Japan,Korea, and Taiwan called 3Battlefield.
