I want to run the Daphne emulator for laserdisc games, but I have no idea how the hell to properly utilize it. Every time I try to use it, I get this error crap: Bad command line or initialization problem (see daphne_log.txt for details) (Note: Somehow, I don't have this text file. Foo.) To run DAPHNE, you must specify which game to run and which laserdisc player you are using. For example, try 'daphne lair noldp' to run Dragon's Lair in testing mode. ................ erm... yeah. Help.

That sounds most confusing!
Sadly, I can't do squat. Discs+Computers=Not my thing!
Even ePSXe confused me for a while!

Or you could just buy the Dragons Lair/Space Ace combination DVD and save yourself from all the trouble.

Emulation is often the purpose of not buying stuff.

I used to play plenty of laser disc games with Daphne at one time and remembered it being pretty tricky to set up. Unfortunately it's been a while since I last used it, so I don't remember how to get past that problem. What games in particular were you trying to play, Sotenga?

I've sort of put Daphne to the wayside, but this is some good info. Thanks, guys. MP, I wanted to give the Lupin III game "Cliffhanger" a shot, mostly to see how badly the source material was butchered. Heh, no kidding.

Ugh. That game. Probably the most frustrating laser disc game I have ever played... and I have played many. You really would want to be able to play that game? I think I could set up Daphne again and tell you how it's done. No promises, though.

IIRC, Cliff Hanger emulation on Daphne is jacked, but it's been a while.
That game gave me nightmares for about a year (seeing a cartoon of a guy getting executed does that to you) but at the same time it got me to check out Cagliostro years later. Anyone else learn about Lupin that way?
