Good. I think the podcast is better if it has a specific subject and direction.
Edit: Also check the Angry Video Game Nerd's recent take on the Atari Jaguar. Great informational videos. He's getting better and better, with toned-down physical comedy and cursing.

Total Eclipse is good? I thought Total Eclipse Turbo on PlayStation was pretty awful, and it's about the same game, right?

Makes you feel bad for those who got a PlayStation at launch and ended up with that turd, doesn't it? It was the very first game that went for sale, over a week before the system actually, and I can just imagine somebody being so eager for the system that they ran out to buy that and the other crappy pre-system launch releases, only to realize they don't have any cash left for Ridge Racer and The Raiden Project. :P

Awesome, dloading now... The 3DO was a great system, technically, it just wasn't capitalised on enough. CD-based, it had better technology than systems like the Sega CD and PCE-CDrom. You could daisy-chain controllers for up to 8 players, so no need for a multitap. A good site with listings of every game (almost): fz1-3do.blog.co.uk/It had a fair selection of excellent titles. Immercenary was a fairly cool, weird FPS. Kinda like a Massively Multiplayer Offline FPS. Lucienne's Quest's only English release was on the system and it was an awesome RPG), and there was a whole bunch of cool, obscure Japan-only games. There's a kind of Bomberman clone involving flowing water ("Taiketsu! Rooms"), plus some interesting RPGs. There's also lots of crap, but most systems have crap.

I just picked up Total Eclipse at a GameStop 5 years ago, near mint, for $2. I also got Cyberia and Air Combat for the same money. By the way, I'm pretty sure Air Combat was the first Playstation game ever made since its serial number is like SLU 00001 or something like that.

"Get on that stick and make some babies!"
Almost disappointed that D didn't make the top-5 list.

Yeah, it does have that ID tag, but it was released on September 13, 1995, while the system came out on the 9th and there were 10 games already available at that point. I'm not really sure what's up with the serial number assignments. Total Eclipse Turbo is 00021, for the record. Here's a pretty cool article about the PlayStation's US launch if you're interested: www.game-rave.com/psx/playstation_perfect_guide/features/feat_launch/index.htmlHeh, sorry guys for derailing the topic. :)

^^^ Nice article.
Didn't the 3DO come with a demo disc which had "Two Stupid Dogs" and "Batman The Animated Series" on it? I thought that was very cool at the time. Me and my friends would get together and play Return Fire for hours.

Thanks. This was probably the best podcast I've heard from you guys and the most informative too. Now I really want to get a 3DO someday.
