They can all be used, all Kurt needs to do is put a random screenshot script in the html code which will put a different image each time you enter or refresh the page.
Here's an example, refresh the page to see the multiple banners:
www.vgmuseum.com/end/snesIs it possible to modify that script to use images of all different file types, or would I have to resave all the banners as the same type of file? I'd like to use it for West Mansion. I tried putting it in earlier, but it didn't seem to work, it just gave me a broken image link.
Yes, it's possible. Here's the source for HG101's banners:<script language="JavaScript">
var appVer = navigator.appVersion.charAt(0)
if ( navigator.appVersion.indexOf("MSIE 3")!=-1 ) appVer = 3;
if ( appVer > 2 ) {
function random1() {
return (Math.round((Math.random() * (11))));
}
document.write('<IMG SRC="logo/' + random1() + '.jpg">');
}
else document.write('<IMG SRC="logo1.jpg">');
</script>
Alternatively, you can also use this one, which is what I have in my site. Just replace the file names with yours: <script language="JavaScript">

// Set up the image files to be used.
var theImages = new Array() // do not change this
// To add more image files, continue with the
// pattern below, adding to the array. Rememeber
// to increment the theImages[x] index!
theImages[0] = 'http://www.blamethecontrolpad.com/logos/BTClogoBomberman.png'
theImages[1] = 'http://www.blamethecontrolpad.com/logos/BTClogoTurtle.png'
theImages[2] = 'http://www.blamethecontrolpad.com/logos/BTClogoRistar.png'
theImages[3] = 'http://www.blamethecontrolpad.com/logos/BTClogoKirby.png'
theImages[4] = 'http://www.blamethecontrolpad.com/logos/BTClogoPopful.png'
theImages[5] = 'http://www.blamethecontrolpad.com/logos/BTClogoPulseman.png'
// ======================================
// do not change anything below this line
// ======================================
var j = 0
var p = theImages.length;
var preBuffer = new Array()
for (i = 0; i < p; i++){
preBuffer
= new Image()
preBuffer.src = theImages
}
var whichImage = Math.round(Math.random()*(p-1));
function showImage(){
document.write('<img src="'+theImages[whichImage]+'">');
}
//-->
</script>
And then you place this wherever you want the image to appear:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/JavaScript">
<!--
function MM_preloadImages() { //v3.0
var d=document; if(d.images){ if(!d.MM_p) d.MM_p=new Array();
var i,j=d.MM_p.length,a=MM_preloadImages.arguments; for(i=0; i<a.length; i++)
if (a.indexOf("#")!=0){ d.MM_p[j]=new Image; d.MM_p[j++].src=a;}}
}
//-->
</script>
Check the site mentioned in the comments section of the code for more info and better instructions on how this script works.
