Lookin' good, just fix some spelling/sentence errors. This is a game I'll be getting real soon.
Also, the "kill those white bastards" thing was really funny.

I'm pretty poor at copy-editing my own stuff. And I'm not even making that up - it's a loose translation, but not inaccurate. It's just so amusing how riled it up is. "Shiroi yatsu ga kochira wo baka ni shiteru! Mukiiii! Koroshimechaou!"

WOW at your comments about Wario Ware, Nintendo, and Wii. I could not possibly disagree any more strongly, but that is a different topic entirely. Otherwise, nice to see this game represented here at HG101.

Kurt, I'm surprised that you didn't mention how much of a FUCKING SHITCUNT the Dancing Girls "DON DON PAN PAN" level was. That is my most reviled game in the series, and it took me SEVERAL tries to get it. The timing is usually good in nearly every other game, but for me, that particular stage was as finicky as Space Channel 5. I spit venom every time I think about that level... and its pissass remake. Out of all to bring back, why that one? *cries* But the Quiz one's frustrating? I find that one to be one of the easiest ones out there. *shrug* Eh, to each their own. Besides that, great article. The Morning Musume comment cracked me up and reminded me of the incredibly sour mood you had with the TokiMemo article. ;D

The Morning Musume comment cracked me up and reminded me of the incredibly sour mood you had with the TokiMemo article. ;D Seconded.. except I hated the TokiMemo review (sorry, fan here )

Thanks for the assists, I fixed them up now.
The Quiz one isn't TECHNICALLY difficult, but it does frustrate me, just because I can't count the beats that fast. I know there's a secret, because it's always "set # of beats" + "random extra", but...I don't know, it feels out of place and stupid. The DONDONPAN one is annoying because the timing feels off, but at least it makes sense in the context of the game. I might go back and add a few more before I officially post it.
And yeah, I get a bit cranky when it comes to Nintendo, especially as of late. Wario Ware is alright, but I felt a bit ripped off even paying $20 for the original GBA game. It feels like you're paying for the creativity of the art projects rather than an actual game, and that doesn't sit well with me. Plus $50 for the latest one is madness. I'm all set for getting a Wii over the summer because of Metroid, but beyond that, it's a bit of a barren wasteland...

The only game in Rhythm Tengoku I had trouble with was the one where the four soldiers in a factory take orders from a Saddam Hussein looking guy. I don't know the words he's saying, so it's hard to react appropriately.
Other similar games are easy, though. For example, the don-don-pan-pan one is easy because it's written out, so you can tell where the claps are supposed to come. Even the p-p-p-punch one is easy to me, though it's very similar, because of the visual cues I get. Maybe it's just one of those things.

The "back to index" link at the bottom of the page is missing a slash, instead trying to link to /rhythmtengoku/..index.html.

I agree. The first game was way more intuitive, while I found myself spending a lot of time training in the tutorials of the sequel. Also, songs are not as catchy and memorable as the Bon Odori, the Rabbit Jump or the Night Walk. Great article, by the way!

For anyone who still cares, the DS game's coming out on the 5th, and alongside the DSi.

The article is listed under the "individual games" lable, which had me confused when looking for it, since the series has already spawned 3(point five) games.
