www.hardcoregaming101.net/nbbbm/nbbbm.htmI briefly played this on MAME but never got past the first level. Looks awfully amusing though. For some reason I keep getting it confused with that one goofy Taito game - Ninja Kids or something, I think?

This could be clarified as to whether the first or last level of Turtles in TImes is what this Ninja Baseball Batman level looks like. To add confusion, the first level of Turtles in Time IS in New York.

This game is godlike, definitely play it!
And read a FAQ, there are more moves for the characters than you might immediately notice. But it's totally hilarious, and the gameplay rocks also.

This game is still not correctly emulated by MAME when it comes to showing text. Here's what the last 6 images of the article should look like: -Notice the green graphics titles missing from the bottom of the images. When you see it in motion, the glitch and missing graphics becomes much more apparent

Nice job editing. One thing I forgot to mention, it does support four players at once if you couldn't tell from the screenshots. So you may want to tack that on somewhere. Also, can you add at least one of the screenshots of the super special elemental moves, seeing how cool they look. They were kinda hard to capture, maybe you can give it a try, but this one turned out pretty good. Also, Undercover Cop, who I mention, mentions my article. So don't forget to link those together, as with Final Fight, R-Type, or anyone else. Thanks. One more question, I doubt this, but do the Ninjas make any cameos in any other game? And yeah, everyone really needs to play this. Amazing game. However, the emulation does mess up alot, especially at the next stage screen and in the credits.

One more thing. At the end of health items paragraph, there are two periods.

Cool article. I just played the game after reading it. I distinctly heard the digitized laugh of General Morden in various instances throughout. Given the games' pedigree, it makes sense. So if Jose is named after Conseco, what about the other guys? I'm guessing Roger Clemens and Darryl Strawberry, but I have no clue on Ryno. Maybe someone whose knowledge of early '90s baseball players extends beyond that episode of the Simpsons knows the answer. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homer_at_the_Bat

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryne_SandbergHis nickname is Ryno. I never heard of him until this (I'm a hockey guy) but anyone who can win a MVP with the Cubs must be pretty good. He added the part about Conseco, I just figured they were stereotyping Hispanic players. Roger is another very common name. Besides the Rocket, don't forget Roger Maris, who broke Babe's record. Maybe that is some subplot, that the fat yellow guy stole the statue because he's still mad he never got enough respect. Or maybe I'm just looking too hard. And Straw has to be for Darryl Strawberry. Those will probably all be important things to add in.

Why is it that the characters in the US version are named after baseball players, but the characters in the Japanese version appear to be named after Super Sentai?

That is more or less what they are based off.
I played some of that Ninja Kids (that is the name). It has much of the same charm that made NBBBM so enjoyable, after it just feels way too simple after playing that.

Am I the only one to notice that the characters' initials spell "IREM" in the cinemas? Good job Kamatacci.

That's it, I'm going to beat this game now. NBB has always seemed like a kick-awesome BEU, but this article convinced me to fully absorb its wackiness. Away I am! ;D

By the way, has anyone noticed that if you look at the default high scores in this game, there are ones with portraits of the cheerleaders you can summon, and one of the 'baseball' enemies? I've never seen it mentioned anywhere that this game has secret characters, but that would seem to imply they are playable...

Welp, I beat it, and it is a very fun and colorful game. Though... I don't know if it's the emulator, but the music is bloody horrible! Though, the sound is somewhat unnatural, so I'm thinking that it's really the emulator's fault. Did anyone else think the music was funky while playing it on MAME?
Regardless of that, this is a fine BEU that made me wish Irem made more of them. Not that I'd complain about them making shmups either. Heh...
Oh, and a question: What new moves do our boys gain when they're flashing red? So far, I haven't really noticed any difference.
