It's right there, right smack below the logo...? I still fail to see any. 1) Go to the homepage. 2) Press Ctrl + F. 3) Paste the words in these quotations, "Site: Blog | Forums | Podcasts | Links". 4) Select find. 5) ??? 6) Profit.

Shellshock meant a link on these forums that points back to HG101's main site, not the other way around.

Aha. Yes, that might be handy.

This has probably been suggested, but how about a page grouping games by system/hardware? Though that would be a lot of hassle for the multi-format articles.

Thought I might bump these: I also missed Shadowrun (Mega CD), which should be added to the visual novel genre. (...) EDIT: How about the new ones? Nicol is already included in a theme, Top-Down Action for Genre? Looks like Meikyuu Jiin Dababa would fit in with "Eastern Fantasy", and maybe even Horror. Not sure about the genre, but it could be added to both Puzzle and Top-Down Action. (On Ecstatica) Oh, yeah, I put that in Horror when the concept of seperate Genre/Theme lists still didn' t exist, and later forgot about it. So maybe it either needs a genre for Survival Horror, or, to have a more broad one, Action Adventure? Toegether with suggestions for the new ones still missing entries: Genre: The Lone Ranger - Top-Down action and sidescrolling action? Gensou Senki - Beat 'em Up Otocky - probably should be added to shmups as well. Shadow of Destiny - Adventure, Visual Novel Citizen X - Sidescrolling Action, Chrono Trigger - JRPG Theme: Beneath a Steel Sky - Does it fit / can be made fit into Cyberpunk? Gensou Senki - So anime it hurts, wacky, unique visuals Otocky - can't think of any other than wacky, though it probably deserves one. Shadow of Destiny - time travel, survival Citizen X - open maze levels, going down, maybe kusoge? Chrono Trigger - Time Travel, Cyberpunk, Prehistoric

How about a new "Post Apocalyptic" theme, with those games:
-Chrono Trigger -Full Throttle -Irem Post-Apocalyptic Arcade Games -Kizuna Encounter -Snatcher -Tex Murphy
Those might or might not also fit, don't know them too well: Crusader Manhunter Policenauts

To take the risk of becoming annoying: Would you want me to keep the lists updated? I've made new versions, with one new genre (Survival horror) and a bunch of new categories (Pirates!, On Horseback, On Chocobo-/Camel-/Lizard-/Whateverback, Post-Apocalypse, Dark Future Metropolis, Wild West). Note that they have already included the Konami Run 'n Gun games, which are technically unreleased on the main page (to members: they don't work as is with the following links, since I took non-absolute URLs from the site). www.derboo.de/files/genres.htmwww.derboo.de/files/themes.htm

uh... might we have the games sorted by console? It's been suggested before, but it would be a HUGE undertaking. Would you put the many ports of one game on all of the systems its on, or the original release?

mmm i see your point... maybe only the original release? i mean after you click on the original release you can discover how many ports it received and on what anyway...

Would kinda defeat the use of browsing your owned systems for games.

A major update to the lists, they now have an index at the top, for easier navigation. I also took the liberty to "adopt" the company list, for which I dissected also most of the larger articles, though that doesn't work perfectly, since the original sites of course weren't designed with the lists in mind, and thus don't have anchors for the individual titles. New themes are: - Cold Blooded Heroes, for games with non-mammal main characters. - Older than the NES, for games released before 1985. - Sorcerer's Apprentice, for games that prominently feature prospective or plainly incompetent magicians. www.derboo.de/files/genres.htmwww.derboo.de/files/themes.htmwww.derboo.de/files/company.htmThese contain all the games that are only announced on the forums so far.
