Would it be ok to expand this into Nintendo Light Gun Games or Nintendo Super Scope Games IF I ever decide to get around to doing so? I was considering writing something like that a few months ago, but never got motivated to do so. Part of the reason that I never wrote it is because I am sure that we are probably going to see several light gun games for the Nintendo Wii and I have no interest in buying every game they make for it so that I can update the thing. However, making it strictly about the games that they made for the Super Scope would solve that problem. I could also write Nintendo NES Zapper Games as well I guess. Again, this is strictly something that I have considered and not anything that I am interested in writing about currently.

In most parts, yes, but why do that when you have more powerful picture editing software to work with? If it's just cutting, pasting, filling spaces then windows paint does it just as well. I should know, I've been editing images with it for over 8 years now. But if you are an ace with photoshop then I could understand why you would rather use it over the crappy windows paint. But nowadays PS is so complicated that I don't even dare to use it. If the image is in bmp (or png I think) you should be able to separate the actual game's graphics from the crosshair. I used photoshop back in the day and I used to remove layers from certain screenshots. I kept using MS Paint because I only used a picture editor for simple tasks and PS took way too long to load. Don't use the WIP version then, use the official build (1.42 I believe) A lot of games are broken on that one too, but the older zsnes versions have that nasty garbage line on the top. The last WIP version I used did not have that garbage line, it shouldn't have it on the newer ones either... I hope. When a game is broken I just end up using snes9x which is almost as good as zsnes. I think that could be a good idea. There weren't many other Super Scope games released for the SNES so it shouldn't be too hard. From the top of my head I got Yoshi's Safari, Super Scope 6, X-Zone and umm... what else?

T2: Judgment Day, The Hunt for Red October, Bazooka Blitzkrieg, Operation Thunderbolt, Tin Star (one of my favorites!), and Revolution X. I own all of them except for Bazooka Blitzkrieg, Operation Thunderbolt, and Revolution X.

I meant games made by Nintendo for the Super Scope. It would be interesting to write about every Super Scope game, but what would you do with the games that are multi platform or arcade ports? Operation Thunderbolt has a freaking awesome arcade version and it would be a shame to just discuss the SNES version. Same goes for a NES Zapper Games write up. Games like Mechanized Attack and Operation Wolf both merit their own sections.

Hello, I use to be a Metal Combat fan and I have a little trivia you may find interesting.
The official Japanese Battle Clash/Metal Combat web page shows that 3D models were used as guides to make the sprites for Metal Combat. (The only models shown on the site are the training robots.) I came across the webpage some where around 2000, but I don't think it's up anymore.

That sounds cool. I'd like to see that if you could track that down.
PS-Welcome to the forums!

Found it! Thank you, Wikipedia. 3D models - www.intsys.co.jp/game/clash2/3d.htmlSome pages on the Official Intelligent Systems website don't load in Internet Explorer. Using the this Translated link will correct the problem: excite.co.jp/world/url/body?wb_url=http://www.intsys.co.jp/game/clash2/&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2

Great review. I think I'm gonna fly my SNES into the country and get a Super Scope and these 2 carts.

Yeah, it's kinda weird but I actually equate the games to Super Punch-Out!!! I know it's kinda crazy considering there's no boxing but the first person perspective, the counter attacks, and weak points all remind me of SPO.
