Didn't realize they had so much riding on Prototype 2. And yet somehow Sucker Punch is still afloat. It's a shame. I'd say that Simpsons Hit & Run was probably the best Simpsons game ever made.

Activision is at it again, it seems... I wonder how many studios they have left aside from Blizzard....

I wonder if the more boneheaded touches to Prototype 2 were Activision's decision, like making the main character an angry revenge-fulled military guy who fully identifies himself as is original human from. It's like they thought Alex's character arc was too complex or something, so they made him a generic mustache-twirling villain and made a Kratos clone the hero.

Feel bad for Radical. Never cared for many of their games besides Hulk and Simpsons H&R, but that was a lot of mindless fun.
As for studios Activision still has (not counting Blizzard since they're more or less entirely autonomous from Kotick's grasp)... Treyarch, Sledgehammer, Infinity Ward (even if it's in name only), and I think a couple of others.

Coincidentally enough they're the ones that make Call of Duty games.
I still won't forgive them for shutting down Bizarre Creations. On the one hand, many of the former Bizarre Creations guys are at Sumo Digital now doing the new All-Stars Racing, so there's something good about it after all!

Beenox too, I think; they do the Spider-Man games. I never got Prototype because the main character looked like too much of an emo douche. Ultimate Destruction was pretty fun though. And it's a shame that a company had to go under .

Do you work for an insurance agent? Even worse (for a certain value of 'worse'). A state regulatory agency.

I'm pissed at Matt Lauer and NBC over the way Ann Curry was forced to leave the Today Show. It was total bullshit, and similar to how they basically shat on Conan. Stay classy, NBC.

I'd rather die tonight than have to live another 30 years unloved.

There's a part of me that wishes that pushing Curry to a co-host position would mean that the Today show might actually get some hard news and, say, real science content rather than feelgoodism for most of its broadcast. But nope, apparently that didn't happen and what a surprise, it ended terribly.

Ann Curry got fired from her position on the Today show because she couldn't bring in ratings, after being co-host for about a year. Some commentators have cited the fact that she wasn't particularly good at celebrity interviews or the fluff pieces that Today show seems to live on.
