I got burned on a DS game from ebay once. The packaging appeared correct and it had an instruction book. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a pirated copy. Very annoying.

Yeah, it's depressing how prevalent bootlegs are for certain things. You're not even safe buying GBA games at GameStop (if they even still carry them).
Personally, I'd take it a step farther and say don't buy ANYTHING on eBay that's located in places like Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc. unless you REALLY know the seller or the item.

I'm really getting tired of the charity group in my local shopping center that always tries to get my attention so they can trap me in a long conversation and try and guilt me into donating money to them.
Every time I have to walk past where they've set up I get "Hey matey, got a minute?" or some other variation, trying to trick me into talking to them.
I just keep walking and don't respond. Its rude and I don't like/enjoy it, but I've made the mistake once of allowing myself to be sucked into a conversation with one of them. The bloke droned on about whatever it was he wanted cash for, until I basically made it clear I was unemployed and with no money (Which at that time I was). He very quickly lost interest in me.
Once bitten, twice shy as they say. (I'm basically of the opinion that if I want to give to charity, I will seek them out, not the other way around.)

It's actually very easy.
"Hey buddy, I have a sad story. You see..."
"NO!"
And walk away.

Hah, at least the guy gave up after you said you're unemployed. They can be way pushier than that in Manhattan. They'll pop out of nowhere as you're walking down the street, and even if you say that you're an unemployed student and can barely afford your own needs, they'll follow you down the whole street, giving you a guilt trip.

I need to find where I put my copy but there's a Taiwanese comic parody about the Journey to the West, and at the end when they got to India to make copies of the Buddhist Scriptures it says "And when our heroes returned to China, it began the time-honored tradition of piracy in Asia."

Gamestop. Sometimes I get reminded why I don't like the place, and yesterday was that day. I got bombarded by the clerk (and I presume his manager) to get a Power Up card, which I'm not too thrilled about and will probably make it a point not to return to that location. I did take the free card, but I'm not sure if I want to activate it after all of that the pandering. At least the Gamestop I went to last week didn't grill me like a fish (the clerk there was actually quite nice and we had a decent conversation). Plus I got the display copy of Tales of Graces f, so I get to clean sticker gunk off of my box.
In short, I don't like going there. If Tales wasn't $40, I wouldn't have.

You got the display copy. They should be paying you. Also... Every time I have to walk past where they've set up I get "Hey matey, got a minute?" or some other variation, trying to trick me into talking to them. I'm imagining someone with a little table setup, wearing a pirate costume, trying to lure in passersby.

We're starting to get panhandlers in my area (this is a new development) now, and what's worse, they're using their children as props.
If you want to lower yourself to panhandling, that's your business, but leave your kids out of it.

For whatever reason, my account has been flagged so I can't buy anything from their website since last year. I have no idea why, and all I can get out of either their phone or email customer service is a canned response. It's pissing me off because there's been several web-only exclusives, most recently the Persona 4 Vita special edition. ARGH! Anyway, I filed a BBB complaint today, apparently that worked for one person on Cheapassgamer.

Speaking of flagged accounts...
Still waiting on PayPal to re-approve my account now that I've submitted the necessary identity-verification files (driver's license, soc. sec. card, and a phone bill; thank god I have my own phone plan now). I was trying to purchase an item on either Friday night or Saturday and didn't find out that my account had this issue until Sunday, when an actual email was sent; new requirements for ID verification apparently were passed in April.
The page I reach initially after logging in has the gall to claim that "Completing all of the checklist items will automatically restore your account access." I can only wonder at what bizarre definition of 'automatically' they could be using, especially since their own help documentation seems to imply that the documents submitted actually require manual approval before my account is restored.
I wouldn't be as interested in punching the entire staff of paypal in the face if it weren't for the fact that this was not an issue the week before and that I was not informed it was an issue until I had already bid on and was prepared to pay for an item; since I have no idea how long it will take to approve this I actually sent out an email to the seller basically saying "sorry but payment may take a while since paypal sucks, and I'm seriously not trying to defraud you". Well, that and the fact that paypal's reputation is terrible.

Shit, I'm sorry to hear that.
I found out the results of my Better Business Bureau complaint - basically, Gaystop flagged my account because the last three things I bought from them online were special editions, and at one point I had changed my billing address. They said that I'll have to submit a credit card statement to them via fax before they'll unblock me, and they consider the matter "closed". Assfuckers.

Wait what? Why would buying special editions cause problems?
EDIT: Also, watching the WoW patch progress bar fill verrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy slooooooowwwwwwllllllyyyyyy is kind of pissing me off. I'm having dial-up flashbacks.
