Wait what? Why would buying special editions cause problems? EDIT: Also, watching the WoW patch progress bar fill verrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy slooooooowwwwwwllllllyyyyyy is kind of pissing me off. I'm having dial-up flashbacks. They were saying that it looked like "typical credit card fraud behavior signs." Not like it's any of their fucking business, that's what my credit card company's for. Anyway, I totally would have bought it from Amazon, but flippers/scalpers had bought up their stock already. I ended up pre-ordering at a GS store - hopefully it'll work out. If it does, that's cool anyway, because I genuinely like the people that work at that location and if they get a sale out of me that's fine in my book. |

I loaded up my wow just after maint started last night, and noticed the progress bar for the reformat or whatever of my install was pretty slow. So I just played Phantasy Star IV on my PS3 for an hour. It was finished by then so I was able to turn my PC off ready for when I get home tonight. (That said, I got all of the patch via the background downloader before maint last night. If you didn't...yea, I imagine you and everyone else is struggling to grab it all at once  ) |

Didn't work for me until the patch went live. Might be because I'm on Linux. The updater behaves pretty strange sometimes. My connection's pretty slow too, so I imagine it's going to take a day or two to fully download. I'll probably just let it go all night and while I'm at work tomorrow. |

Interesting day at work.
First off, I work for my dad at his machine shop. Our in-house inspector is a real asshole, everybody hates his guts. Today, I finally got fed up and I was like, "look, please talk to my dad more respectfully." I did say it with anger, I'll admit that. Then we start jawing at each other and it got to a point where he picks up a steel handle and I was basically like, "what u gonna do." Then my dad got between us. Inspector goes off and picks up the phone to call the police. I said, "You made the first threat of physical violence and you're the only one who picked up a weapon." Needless to say he put down the phone. The fucker even had the audacity to tell my dad, "I'll overlook it this time, but next time...." UNBELIEVABLE.

Demon's Souls. Man, I can't believe this game sometimes... Man, it took me so long to finish the game. It's not that the last boss is impossible, but I had a really hard time timing my ripostes, and having to do that trudge through the black knights over and over and over just made me super frustrated. |

Is there a trick to the skeletons? I think I must really suck at this game as half the time I am killing things via use of magic. |

If you're going to focus on magic, take to recruiting some fighter player characters to act as meat shields.

Absolutely not, the game pretty much expects you to recruit help. It's kinda the point of the multiplayer. The bosses are generally hellish endeavours if you try to tackle them alone.

Didn't they finally shut down the first game's servers? I don't know about in the EU region, but I'm fairly sure they did in NA. |
