I've come to realize that I have problems getting my point across in online arguments, where basically I have two choices: Either ignore the subject or go into a full asshole mode which can be summed as "Fuck you, you're stupid and here's why", which then will be retorted with "Well thats my opinion. I have every right for it blahblahblah". There are times when I can manage to keep my cool, but I usually lose it when people just whine and moan and complain and bitch about trivial stuff like remakes of over 20 year old videogames (You can probably guess what game). And then I try to have this open mind, give things a change and not immediately jump into full conclusions about anything, only to have people say to me "You like that? Ugh....". I know how you feel man... But if I may ask which game are you talking about?

Bought a $50 US PSN card from Play Asia- but when I try to enter the code, PSN tells me I cannot add the funds to my wallet (though it confirms the code and value).
I've never had a problem with their cards before, but just to check and see that my account was not locked or anything, I created a brand new account and got the same error. So it appears there is a problem with their card, and I am hoping they respond to my email soon.

The old game was a classic among PC gamers, so of course there's some hardcore old PC-friends complaining about it being dumped down so it could reach to wider audiences, or just otherwise not even considering that it might actually be a good game.

For me, it's this, only with most fighting game players. As in, the people you tend to see hanging around Shoryuken or Eventhubs. Say what you want about Youtube commentators, but at least they have the ability to be positive about something, on rare occasions. These people will just find some minor complaint about a good looking game and act like it's some kind of unforgivable flaw. I really don't know why I keep getting so involved with their opinions, honestly. Maybe it's because I don't want those kinds of people affecting the sales of the games I like.

Fallout 3 all over again eh? Oh dear lord I almost forgot about that. Yes, it does feel same, although XCOM actually has more of the same gameplay than the original, making all the fuss in comparison to Fallout 3 even more stupid.

I hate people who celebrate the death of someone just because they don't agree with his or her politics, and the people and causes they support.

People who seem to think they that because they support a cause or do volunteer work, that it gives them license to be a total jackass to everyone else they came across, as if the one balances out the other.
This specifically happened when a former roommate of mine ended up in a relationship with one of those types of people. He instantly went around alienating my then-roommate from everybody else, including making insulting, condescending, abusive comments toward my then-roommate's parents, to their faces.
When anybody attempted to call him out on it, he'd just say "I do volunteer work!" as an attempted deflection.

I just played the most recent Ridge Racer (Unbound?) - what the hell happened Namco? Why does every racing game feel utterly appalling since Outrun 2006?

Well, you started off on the wrong track when you expected a racing game to somehow manage to surpass Outrun 2006...
Although -- have you played Burnout Paradise? That one gets a glowing recommendation from me.

Fallout 3 all over again eh? Anyone who tries to convince me the original Fallout is relevant after Fallout 3 is a goddamn idiot. I played both and I'm trained in classic PC RPGs.

This PSN card issue with Play-Asia is driving me nuts!!! It's a week after I told them their card was bad, and I still do not have anything to show for it, except a lot of back and forth and slooooow response. I finally got the amount credited to my account (ONE WEEK LATER), but when I went to check out it still told me to specify my payment type... chose paypal thinking it was just a formality, but this just gave me a blank page and an automatic email from them telling me to send $$ to their paypal account. Went to change the order to another payment method and my store credit just disappeared.
What a nightmare. I don't understand why it takes them DAYS to respond to my emails.
[edit] This has been taking care of! Finally was able to get Doom BFG
