Haha, I like the completely randomly placed hatred for turtle neck sweaters.

People who will sit in the computer lab all day while I'm tutoring and do nothing, but play on Facebook and then 15 minutes after I'm off the clock come and ask me for help!

I especially hate the oscillatory kind that start to blow on your neck but do it intermittently, like for a split-second every couple of seconds. Really fucking annoying that.

We're in New Jersey because of work. Unfortunately, so is everyone else and they are the ones that got the good hotels. As a result we're staying in this ancient shithole that just happens to be a historic mating ground for homosexuals. As in, this was THE place before Fire Island in the 70s. Doesn't help that I'm always paranoid about germs in hotels from people fucking there. On the bright side this will make a good story someday assuming the ghosts don't kill me ( at least I HOPE those groans and moans are ghosts). Also I need photos of the flashing rainbow strobe lights that are no doubt going to keep me awake.
This is actually the least reason I'm pissed. Our flight was delayed, rental cars were delayed, traffic here is a nightmare, navigating the small intestine-like roads in the black of night to try to get to Digital Press was lots of fun, wasting an hour to get a toll pass only to find out it doesn't activate for a day sucks, Friendly's French fries are shit, etc etc.

If you're on the east coast at least go to Five Guys! And take a visit to Cluck U too if you're near one. Order fries slathered in Buffalo sauce to feel awesome for like an hour and then terrible for the rest of the day. Digital Press is like, two mins off the Parkway, so whatever way you went was probably more confusing that it should've been. If you need better directions let me know. I hear a lot of out-of-staters complain about the roads here, but that chaotic slapped together mess is second nature of most native NJers.

Oh come on, the grilled cheeseburger is killer! But yea, it's definitely more of a place to go for ice cream. I went for this two things, and it was 9:30 and I needed to find something quick before I got to Asbury Park.
As for five guys, fries are great, but the burgers aren't anything special IMO. Whataburger 4 LIFE. Also, best burger and shake ever is Hopdoddy in Austin (and now Dallas).
Also Kurt, in my case I had "no tolls" set since my Ez pass doesn't kick in until tonight, and I was dumb and didn't get the toll option on the rental. As for confusing stuff, mostly I hate these roundabouts and "no turn" situations (ie, 35 where I'm at). Nothing major, but this is the first time I've seem this stuff!
Digital Press was a fun store, could have gotten stuff cheaper online but I picked up some cib gameboy games and Rob's book because the guy at the store kept it open a bit late since he heard I was coming from Texas. DP and Next Level are nice stores, which is refreshing since there is literally only Gamestops in the Dallas area (Game Over in Austin and Houston are fantastic though, especially if you're a PC Engine fan).

I wish we had stores that sold PC engine stuff over here! There are literally like two stores between Sioux Falls and Fargo that regularly sell even PS1 stuff. Minus Pawn Shops.... And they both laugh when I ask about Saturn or Game Gear stuff.

The constant sense of "oh fuck I'm in the wrong lane aren't I" is largely what accounts for NJ's collective psyche.
The best thing I can say about Route 35 is that there's a Wawa on it. (EDIT: Or wait, is that Route 36? I can't remember...)
It sounds like you're not too far away from Redbank though. I'd recommend stopping by to check out Yestercades, it's a not-too-shabby retro-type arcade. There's also Barcade farther up north in Jersey City, but that's a far bigger headache to get to. Less games, but also no kids plus a decent beer selection.
