WHAT! Your complaining about the Sun? Try living in Canada for 20 years, and suffering through 7 months of snow, cold, slippery roads, and expensive heating bills. I love the heat, and I would love it if the damn weather got a bit hotter up here. Its been such a mellow summer, with temperatures hitting the high 20's (Celcius). I hate snow...... Weather is a bitch. I think I'd be pretty pissed if I put days of effort into constructing a collection. |

Smithee, have you gotten weird looks from people while driving yet? I get funny looks when people pull up and all's they can hear is random Gundam theme songs, or Persona game tunes.

Ok Linkin Park just jumped 30 cool points in my book. I had no idea there were random Gundam models in that video. Smithee, have you gotten weird looks from people while driving yet? I get funny looks when people pull up and all's they can hear is random Gundam theme songs, or Persona game tunes. Well, I can't quite drive yet, but one time I convinced my mom to play some Dream Theater on a trip, and it was slow traffic, both ways. So we've got some gangsta guys in the car beside us, facing the other way, and they're like "WTF is that shit?" and there were hitchhikers walking on the other side and one of them is saying "Petrucci is awesome!" and asked for a ride. Needless to say, the car was full, so we couldn't give them a drive, but we did give them some water, for which they were thankful. I'd laugh if they were panhandling. However, something LIKE the driving thing has happened to me. In gym class, we're allowed to bring our own CDs and the teacher would play them. Eventually I got tired of the hiphop, rap, and RnB (quickly, actually, but I put up with it). So I made a mixed CD of Satanic proportions. Oh, and Satanic it was! I put some black metal on there, for sure. I also had Meshuggah, Falcom stuff, J-pop, chip-tunes, Revolution 9 (The Beatles, of course) and, of course, some prog. The bastards in my class though. They were fucking whining about it! Little pricks, can't put up with some good music for a change. [disclaimer]I like some rap. I listen to a bit of Wu-Tang Clan, I've enjoyed Flobots, definitely got some MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice (well, the Ninja Turtles songs they did), and dig some nerdcore stuff (Frontalot is totally rad).[/disclaimer] |
