Depends how you go about mentioning it in my experience. I've met plenty of lovely young people who like games that just happen to be old, and then there are sadly plenty of "Hey I'm playing on a SNES! Mario died when he went 3D! HEY DID YOU KNOW I WAS PLAYING ON A SNES!!!" types :/
Of course you get those sorts of people regardless of age but it is especially annoying from a child because there is nothing more childish than trying to act like a grown-up.

When people assume that since you're young and you show affection for old games, that you're posing. I might not have been alive when the NES came out, but that doesn't mean I wasn't raised with it and I didn't play the shit out of it, so when I talk about goddamn NES games, I can talk about goddamn NES games because I played them! You don't have to be 30+ years old to have experience with games from the 80s or earlier, cripes. It just depends. If you're sincere and it shows, then seriously, fuck em. If you're not and you're some poseur hipster, then...well, fuck them for taking such a dork hobby seriously.

Moving. Just.. moving. Always a pain right in the asshole, no matter what.
I'm posting this from the inside of the back of a U-Haul truck. My claustrophobia's setting in, and I'm afraid something might fall on me.

^I hate moving. I hate it so much that I've stayed in places and situations much longer than I really should have.

There's quite enough things to pick that anger me but one thing for now I'll say the piss me off are bullies. As a victim of bullying most of my life in the past at school and work (currently I have no bullies but there one guy at work who doesn't respect me). I have a deep hatred for people who victimize others. There's plenty of horror stories I can tell but too much to deal with. Also, I pretty much blame bullies for the rash of school shooting we been having in the past decade. Practically every person who did the killings were victims of bullies and their parents and schools failed to stop the bullies so the victims took matters into their own hands with devastating consequences. And we put the blame on video games and the entertainment industry. Thank God laws are being past to punish the bully deviants but it's not enough in my opinion. I want to see the bullies to see the inside of a prison cell for a few days to set them straight.

Eh, peoples being high on their opinions. Especially, when these opinions apparently equal fact in their minds. Damn it, I go into everything expecting to have fun, enjoy it, and be entertained. Not to critique it and tear it apart. Wish I could quote that one sentiment from the Sega CD thread, if you've read it through, you'll know which in particular deals with my situation.

Oprah, and what she does to women. She's like James Earl Jones in Conan, but not as pretty, and without the handsome man voice. She steals womens' souls, and makes them her slaves! Perhaps the same could be said of...
At the moment, more specifically "Eat Pray Love." I read about it, and the history, and it's amazing how you're supposed to care about or empathize with the main character (yet, millions of women are thanks to Oprah). It's basically about a spoiled, rich, white woman and her self-absorption. Oh, and how she leaves her husband on a whim to go fuck strange men and "find enlightenment." Sadly, it doesn't have a happy ending where she's captured by local rebels and beheaded when her husband decides not to pay the ransom. Because it's based on real life, and real life sucks.
I hate it when white people "go on a journey of self-discovery." You're white, that's all there is to it. Don't insult other cultures with mock-reverence. They think you're an asshole anyway. Just take your pictures and don't darken their doorstep again.

Someone tried to suggest that book to me. I read like a chapter and all I could think was "I hate this woman already. Why does she have more money than me for being a stupid, self-important, pretentious whore??".
Sorry my thoguht process is pretty black and white sometimes. I really need to write a book about something interesting if this type of crap sells millions. I don't think I mentally think like a white person, or so I've been told. I got told I'm like a no-nonsense 'asian girl' from an asian family before, but I don't know if they were just saying that to be nice because I ate some of their weird food, actually liked it and wasn't a loud mouth generally.

Double post.
When someone I grew up with, who made me laugh, but I was never close to because I was so shy, weird and awkward, dies. And because of my rather awkward involvement with said person's friend in the fairly recent past, I'm not sure if I can handle going to the funeral by myself without being so nervous/anxious that I want to throw up.

I won't go to funerals unless it is stated by the deceased that they want one. I choose to remember people in a happier setting.

I go to funerals if possible. I was closer to this person when I was younger and had special 'extra work' classes with them in public school, but we never talked or hung out much in highschool. I don't feel right unless I can pay my last respects.

Craigslist. A thousand times, Craigslist. People asking for free washer dryers. Free lawn mowers. Free refrigerators. Free clothes. Free toys. Xbox 360s for $50. Free books you can get at the goddamn library. Free exercise equipment. FREE FUCKING CARS. FREE GODDAMN HOUSES!!!
The best was just the other day, though. Some dumbass bitch was asking for $14k to send her three kids to private school. Bravo, internet. You have outdone yourself.
