That I have to pretend to like The Big Bang Theory even though I hate it because everyone I know thinks it's the greatest thing ever and I'll never hear the end of it if I admit that I think it's dreck. Is this the show where all the characters have varying severities of Asperger's syndrome? Because that show offends me |

You're crazy, man. There, I said it. Actually, I will qualify this statement. I think the series is often a bit too focused on sex humor when they could be doing a better job of presenting a scathing satire of academia, since, after all, we have 4 researcher dudes who are most of our main characters. On the other hand I suspect that would severely cut down the audience of the show and a lot of people wouldn't relate to it. |

Shit is straight pandering, man. It's lowest-common-denominator sitcom rubbish dressed up with the absolute shallowest trappings of nerd humor to try and convince us it's smarter than it is while simultaneously dumbing it all down for your average jerkoff couch potato. It's insulting.
But I am not getting into this because it's exactly what I'm trying to avoid in real life :U

What pisses me off about Wikileaks is that nearly everybody I know wants Julian Assange to be executed for treason. That's not the way to deal with the truth. Didn't we learn that during the Cold War? =P The best part of that is that Assange is not an American citizen, so he can't be found guilty of treason, as he can't betray a country he owes no allegiance to. |

Leaks came out saying they don't condone these actions so the kids really look even more childish, which is good on them. I am a Leaks supporter (Assange is not the head or be all end all of it and even if he is convicted in Sweden I would only hold that against him as it has nothing to do with the site) and it's good to see they have as good a head on their shoulders as I thought they did.
They can handle themselves quite well. These kids are just being punks.

I don't know if it pisses me off or amuses me anymore, but my in-laws are sending me money not to come visit at Christmas because it embarrasses them that their daughter is in a mismatched marriage and it makes them look bad.

Trying to keep the big ugly fanboy inside me. Retro City Rampage was announced for X-Box Live Arcade too. Okay, I can deal with that, but this version is coming 3 months earlier and has extras. And the original Wiiware version has been moved to next fall, probably because of this.
Sure, I can understand the developer is a small-time indy-developer, with barely enough money and all that, but move like this doesnt really go with his comment that "done everything possible to avoid disappointing Wii fans".

Yeah, I'm usually happy when exclusives go multiplatform cause, you know, it means more people get to play it, but for some reason, the Retro City thing kinda hurt.
At least Microsoft will never get their grubby hands on Fluidity.

christmas rendering me socially inadequate. I have a friend, and it was her birthday about a month ago so I got her a gift. I didn't think she really cared that much but now she's got me something for christmas (she's even told me that she got me something!), which naturally makes it so that I have to get something for her but I have no idea what to get her. I used up all my creativity on her birthday gift, which consisted of a fancy chocolate thing cause she's totally crazy about chocolate (but I guess everybody is). now the deadline is counting down and I have no idea what to get her and I feel like a douchebag.
