When people throw knives at me. UGH. My last boss's daughter threw a letter opener at me once when I quit. Also, I echo Lee's sentiment. I love my job for the most part, and my company too. The problem is that we'd be so much better if everyone weren't pulling cloak and dagger bullshit and character assassinations on each other. Oh, and also I hate it when I'm reading something on the board, come up with a real zinger, and the thread is locked before I have a chance to use it ;p. |

Talking with good people on another IRC chat reminded me of something that makes me rage:
If you can't watch an anime because it's too "old" for you to watch, you're an F word. (not "fuck" or any variants, the OTHER F word.) A giant one. The worst kind. Especially if you listen to pre 90s music bands, which would also make you a hypocrite.
It's pretty insulting to someone like me who is 20 and has a fondness for stuff made in the 80s, 70s, and even 60s.

Weekend is over and Im watching the clock, counting down the minutes until I have to get on to car and ride back to the base. It depresses me.

Am I the only one who gets bothered when people write "2k11" instead of "2011"? What's the whole point of using the "2k" abbreviation when you're going to add two numbers afterward and make it as long as the actual number anyway?

It's been a quite a while since something honestly pissed me off, but I guess fate is making up for lost time with...
An inconsiderate house guest. One of my wife's friends from high school "invited" herself over to our house for her week-long vacation from work. For starters, she has a dog, and I don't like dogs. Not in theory so much as maintenance. Dogs are like children. They're fine to visit at someone else's house, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be cleaning up after them in my own home.
Well guess what, the dog is pissing and shitting all over my house. This "guest" somehow thought it wouldn't be rude to leave the dog out all night with free run of the house. And even then, upon finding out that it was using my home as its personal toilet, she acted completely nonplussed. No apology or anything. I'm just baffled by how someone could come into another person's home and act like that.
Beyond that, we don't really have the accomodations for someone to play sleepover with, so this person has been sleeping on my couch. The couch that's right in front of the tv where my systems are all hooked up. So now I'm a prisoner in my own goddamn house. The place where I pay all the goddamn bills jesusfuckdamnchristhellshitassbitch.
I look around and all I can think of is burnination.

Some stuff I like (though I can't pick out anything I've enjoyed lately). I think it may have to do with the fact that I was originally introduced to anime that was a bit older. |

^lol I remember when an episode of Sailor Moon uses a breast joke/gag/reference in the original Japanese version but 'busty' somehow got translated to 'talented' in the English version due to the context of the episode.
I randomly see screen caps of some anime where it seems the whole purpose of some series' is to simply be fetish fuel or to explore the animators ability to draw life-like ginormous breast physics. :/

Seriously, I have a large, active dog and we only bring him to visit others houses when it's okay. Usually only family wants to see him for more then just a day visit (we bring him to play with friends dogs lol). |
