I'm too old to get social networking. Facebook is useful to me only for finding people I've lost track of (I hesitate to use the word friends because I'm a sociopathic nerd and everyone hated me in school). It's too much of a liability for me to actually talk about anything, so I don't actually post or whatever. Not that it matters...I have a coworker that keeps threatening to put videos of me doing the habanero pepper eating challenge at our company outing, which would look just great in front of a jury.
I really don't understand Twitter. It's nice to send messages to celebrities, I guess? I only check it to see Gary Busey's insane comments.

As someone who really really hates social networking, I honestly adore Twitter. I can leave notes for friends and it acts like AIM or IRC only I don't say when/if I'm online if I don't want to be bothered at that point. I use mine as a stream of consciousness sort of thing and get enabled into silly ideas or enable others.
It's also really good at spreading real world news and bad jokes. I can also easily access it on my PSP (I am lame and don't have/need/want a cell phone of any kind) from any wifi spot if I'm traveling to let people know I'm okay. Honestly I find it pretty entertaining and seeing celebrities be open on it and converse with us "common" folk so willingly helps show we're all the same in the end.
I've also read some cool articles on how easy it was to catch some criminals on it using it. Those made me giggle.
That and it's honestly really funny to see what spammers follow me based on what I had just said.
Facebook just annoys me to no end though. I only leave it up so people can find me if needed, and one old friend of mine actually did, but the spam on it and the games and such just turn me off massively. I know what all my friends and family are doing right now anyways. I don't need drunk photos as proof.

Ugh, guy at Gamestop wouldn't leave me alone when I picked up my preorder. Kept on pushing their one card even though I refused. And as we finished the transaction he was like 'Fine if you don't wanna save money'. Well, since he decided to be that way, I decided the Arkham City preorder I was gonna make would just wait until I passed by a different Gamestop.

Prepare to be pissed off again: last I checked, preorders are tied to specific locations, not to your "account." This got me a while ago when I had MadWorld on preorder and had to cancel it due to lack of money: had to ride all the way to Washington Square Mall to do so!

Oh I haven't preordered AC yet but when I do I'm making sure it's at a different one from where I picked up L.A. Noire today. Is it true these guys get something good if they get preorders outta people. That's why I'm letting some other fellow get it and not mister pushy. If not, oh wells.

To be fair, he probably has to act like that to make his quotas.

Part 2 of AT&T Bitching
I was on track to get U-Verse service (since it's cheaper and has a higher bandwidth usage limit than DSL) turned on Tuesday; that didn't happen, and long story short since Thursday I've had two people on two days come out to my apartment late and unable to do anything because they got there late. One of them was supposed to return the next day and do something to fix the situation but didn't, and AT&T didn't bother to let me know that. So yeah, I hate dealing with getting internet services set up.

I'm not going to go into it, but I hate how bad things happen to your family members and there's nothing you can do to help aside from offer support.

They don't get "something good" other than being able to keep their shitty underpaying job. Gamestop district managers threaten to write up any employee not consistently getting reservations and subscriptions to game informer every week. An employee not getting the numbers gets fired. Because Gamestop is the kind of company that can just hire any random schmuck off the street, give him a shitty pay, retrain him to get numbers and dump his ass in the next 3 years. Rinse, wash and repeat. Worst company ever.

What's the deal with people in every forum suddenly having My Little Pony avatars? Yeah, I know it was created by the wife of the guy who did the Powerpuff Girls, but unless you lack a "Y" chromosome or you're gay, there's no reason for someone to have an avatar of a pony.

This is the most incorrect post ever, congratulations. What the hell does gender or orientation have to do with liking anything? Absolutely nothing. Those that admit to liking it sound a lot more secure in themselves than you do, not gonna lie. Also you just steeled my resolve to watch this show. Quality is quality, no matter what the content may be.

I was only joking about the sexuality of My Little Pony fans, but a guy admitting to liking My Little Pony wouldn't had been considered manly a year ago. Things are different now due to the popularity of the current show and the internet memes it has spawned. But let's be honest, some of these so-called "bronies" are a bit creepy. www.wired.com/underwire/2011/06/bronies-my-little-ponys/

Personally I'm not creeped out by anyone or anything unless they're bringing harm or distress to another living being. Like stalking or threats or beatings or whatnot. As far as "manliness" goes, I say that's all attitude and why you do things and not what you're doing or what your hobbies are. Intent can make worlds of difference.
That and lol it's just ponies. I'm wondering why it's stirring shit up online in general. It's. Ponies. Like literally the most harmless thing.
No shame, no guilt here forever for anything I enjoy. Have an enjoy.

If your masculinity is threatened, then you aren't man enough to watch My Little Pony.
