God... I really hate my co-workers right now. I was feeling sick, so I asked my boss if I could go home early. He was cool with it, but my co-workers had to bitch me out. One was all like "but I have the car today and I HAVE to leave early for no other reason blah blah blah" and the other was like "even though I went home early yesterday and this is my last work day of the week I HAVE to go home early for no reason blah blah blah", and the third didn't say anything, but gave me a dirty look. Damn, I never ask to go home early, and we work in food service, is it really best for me to be looking sick over food, no matter what it is? ...Well, tl;dr, people are assholes. And it ticks me off when I'm irritable.  |

Dude today there were only 3 people in my office. Bus strike had nothing to do with it, one of them left early b/c her son got in a bike accident, another one said his kid had pus drool coming out of an ear he had surgery on, and this other guy in copies was also at the doctor. Tomorrow everyone might be dead!
Anyway got R@GE and it's installing as I type this. On my way back home from the mall on a cab there was one of those huge pile up crashes, I counted like 5 or 7 cars all smashed together in a straight line lol. </LiveJournal>

Back when I worked inventory, there was this one time when one guy was so sick and overworked that he was literally having trouble holding himself upright, but he tried his best to keep right on going like that until the manager straight up ordered him to go sit out and get some rest, and one of the other people I work with still had the nerve to snarl over it and bitch about how "I'm sick too and I still have to work."
Some people hold themselves to amazingly different standards than they do everyone else... especially when they want something that someone else gets.

Yesterday, everyone was sick at my worksite. I felt guilty for having to leaver early. I mean usually there are a few people at the after school program I work at. But yesterday, it was someone's day off, one of my coworkers was sick, another tore a tendon, and my immediate partner was having back pains. It meant there were only 3 plus me to handle all the kids. My supervisor tried watching all the groups at once and picking up the stragglers, one coworker handled 1st and kinder, while another handled 5th and 6th leaving me the stressful job of dealing with 3rd, 4th, and 5th to deal with. It doesn't help that it's impossible to deal with kids that need extra help, kids that are refusing help, kids that can't understand the language their homework is in, a million requests at time. Papers being shoved in my face. It's darn right overwhelming, the absences were sudden to so we didn't receive extra help the whole day.
Today was better, every one but two coworkers didn't show because apparently some vicious virus is going around. The one employee who was sick last time came in, but got sent back, the 1st teacher was gone and her sister the kinder teacher was looking sick too. I just hope we don't start catching what they got.

Today was better, every one but two coworkers didn't show because apparently some vicious virus is going around. Yeah, apparently it's going on around here too. It's like some kind of terrible stomach/flu/wtf virus that's super contagious and super particular, where if you don't treat it right you're gonna be sick for a lot longer... or something, it's hard to explain. My boyfriend caught it a few weeks ago (small miracle I didn't), but he wasn't allowed to go to school for a good week, because of how contagious it was. It's pretty bad. |

I hope everyone catching that seasonal bug gets well soon. I remember as a kid getting sick 3 years in a row on the same freaking stretch of 4 days in September. Drove me nuts. All of this talk about Hardees makes me miss the place. It's been gone for years in my town. Unfortunately, I've never seen a Carl's Jr. despite their burgers making me drool every time I see one of those commercials.  As for something I hate, my neighbors let their dogs run loose. No fence, no chain, nothing. And guess what, they then go and crap all over my dog's area which makes him uncomfortable relieving himself there. My neighbors gave my family our dog, and I'm thankful for that to be sure, but this new thing annoys me nonetheless. |

I'm pissed about people accusing other people without evidence, and then even when they know the facts, they still wanna bitch about who's more wrong than the other when it doesn't even matter and they are all idiots to begin with. (sigh, i need to get my own place.)
