Maybe you two should combine the best parts of your version of Cave Story into one article after reading them over.

There's a problem with the article. If you have XP Home, and you try to install foreign languages, it'll ask for the XP Home disk. Unfortionately for me, the manufacturers of my computer never gave me the XP Home disk, so I can never install new languages on my computer, ever.

If your computer manufacturer was smart, then they should've at least put the XP files on your hard drive in case you needed to access them. Otherwise...that doesn't sound like a particularly reputable manufactuer.

www.ibuypower.comI'm still pissed at them since I don't have high-speed internet to download the Home disks.

Ooh, I'd totally do an article on Cave Story if nobody else will. Cave Story is one of my favorite videogames, and I do so dearly want to do an article on it (especially since I'm already half-started), I just don't want to keep someone else from writing about it while I'm working on Touhou. So I will write about it, but if you think you can tell people about it faster and/or better than I can then be my guest. If either of you need pictures for your articles, there's a huge archive of artwork here.

I don't have a CD copy of XP Home and the one installed on one of my laptops didn't give me any issue when I enabled Asian language support. I know XP Pro on a clean install puts everything on the hard drive because Windows was assuming that we had more than 10GB available at the time they released the operating system. All I can say about this issue is that really sucks. Your best bet at this point is to ask someone if you can borrow their Windows XP Home CD.

Every lo-o-o-o-ng once in a while I check Insert Credit. For whatever reason, Studio Siesta decided to bring Trouble Witches, a horizontal shooter (reminds me of Cave's Guwange...), to the US under the name Tomboyish Witches which sounds even worse. Nonsensical English in tact! It will apparently not be sold in Japan. Strange move, but interesting nonetheless. members.jcom.home.ne.jp/studio-siesta/http://trouble_witches.mails.ne.jp/tw_eng.htm

Yeah, and it seems like there's already a few people suggesting them to stop this because not only will it be horribly wrong, other people will hack it and release a correct translation of the game anyway.

I totally forgot to mention that Hiroyuki Nishimura made an appearance in Newtype USA's How To Art section for this year's November issue.

Was there a dedicated topic to Gunner's Heart? Since I couldn't it. But I finally got the game and discovered some stuff. 1) The opening of the feature says it'd be nice if you could switch off the cinemas... This seems possible in the Stoic mode. Not sure what Stoic is supposed to mean in this context, but when I've chosen that option no cutscenes play between each stage, which is nice if you've seen them already. 2) The next thing is pure nerdiness, but: the hammer wing weapon (two black cannon balls which circle your ship) is from the Data East shooter B-Wings on the Famicom, which is a port of the arcade game Battle Wings (only the Famicom version had the Hammer Wing). Quite an obscure title, from what I can tell, but I'm guessing one of the guys on EasyGameStation was a fan of it. A cool bit of fan service, since the hammer wing was the best weapon in B-Wings. It was actually one of the games I first got with my Famicom when I was a kid, so a neat surprise here. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-WingsEDIT: the fire power up might also be from B-Wings, truth be told, though flamethrower weapons are pretty ambiguous. Otherwise, Gunner's Heart is awesome. I kinda feel bad for downloading it rather than buying the original.
