Hydorah is finally out! The demos of this Gradius clone were very promising and, judging from the first comments, the final product doesn't disappoint! Be sure to check 8Bit Killer from the same author! www.locomalito.com/juegos_hydorah.php

I second Hydorah, it's an incredible game. I still can't get over how nice the animation and sound effects are. The author really pulled out all the stops to polish the hell out of it.

I don't know if we talk about Xbox Live Indie Games here or not, but I just feel the need to mention Apple Jack. Found out about it today and have been playing half of the levels already, and it's totally awesome. You play as a guy with an apple a head, and it's sort of like Super Mario 2 (USA version) in a puzzle-platformer. You need to destroy all enemies on each level to go on to the next, and sometimes you need to use the monsters to progress (you can stand on them and ride on them), some just walk, some you can steer, some are flying and so on.
It's just 80 Microsoft Points and have I said it's awesome?
Sorry if this has already been mentioned or if there's another thread for Xbox Indie Games. I'm not here very often. But I plan too.

Be sure to check 8Bit Killer from the same author! I've gotta say: I tried the demo of Hydorah a while back and didn't like it, but the full version is awesome! Not sure exactly what they changed but I couldn't stand tde demo and love the full version. So I guess this is a 4th recommendation for Hydorah? - HC

Loved is a short platformer about choice. The game changes depending on how you approach the tasks you are given. Saying much more would spoil the game, but it's definitely a fun trip. Aeon Flux Episodes is a fan game based on the hit MTV animated series of the same name. It looks to combine the gameplay of Prince of Persia with Aeon's signature style and art direction. A special feature to note in the game and trailer is that you can fire in two directions simultaneously.

This little gem is called Façade. Its a kind of a social simulator. Youre a friend of a couple who pays a visit to them. Soon enough you'll be dragged into their marriage mess and the end of the night depends on you. Will they be happy or as bitter as ever? It looks very simple, maybe a bit ugly too, but the big point is interactivity with the two characters. Parser isnt that huge, but it gives an illusion that it works, or at least you'll get unintentionally hilarious answers. Its also fully voiced and no two games are same. www.interactivestory.net/

Action Turnip!!! is an endless scrolling platformer by Raitendo, most famous for You Only Live Once. The game has two modes: a run-'n-gun mode where you have enemies to shoot, weapon power ups and other abilities to find and the appropriately titled Turnabalt mode, where you simply run forever with no distractions and infinite double jump boosts. The game has a nice soundtrack and some interesting power ups to discover. Edit:Arvoesine is an action platformer created by Alastair John Jack that harkens back to the good old days of 8bit and punishing difficulty. The game looks to be inspired by titles such as Castlevania and has a Grecoroman motif. It can be purchased for $5 and there is a one level demo to get your feet wet.

Fishbane is a challenging puzzle platformer. You play a diver with a harpoon that can be ridden upon to solves puzzles. The game ramps up in difficulty quickly but it is very fair. There are quite a few levels to beat along with goldfish and golden harpoons to collect.

Alastair John Jack doesn't sound like a Finnish name to me, so why is the game called 'valuable' in Finnish? Because it sounded exotic? (:
