For some reason, Whenever i play neorage x with any game. It'll run smoothly, and then skip 10-20 frames for some reason.
How 2 fix

Make sure you have enough RAM or HD space.
Also, try using MAME.

I'm pretty sure i have enough RAM so it couldn't possibly be that. But will mame allow me to run the last blade?

A Kawaks is fine too!
Are you running any hard drive intensive programs in the background?

Mame will let you play any NeoGeo game (any game as recent as 2004, I think). It should still let you use the same ROM set as NeoRage, if I remember right.

From my experience, MAME and NeoRage use different rom sets. Also, MAME runs worse than NeoRage, I guess since NeoRage is optimized to just run the Neo hardware, whereas with MAME each new version bloats and gets lets efficient in order to support more and more hardware.

Well, I think it's more a matter of the program being enhanced to be more accurate, as opposed to fast. Many of the emulation features of MAME won't help the game player so it seems to be bloat, though.

There are reasons for them being as accurate as they have been - otherwise, some games would end up being fairly glitchy in places, or just plain not work the way they're supposed to. All those optimizations and stuff can mean incompatibility somewhere down the line (just look at all the HLE graphics plugins for Nintendo 64 games - there's a lot of graphical effects that still don't work because the graphics plugins strive for performance rather than accuracy).

There's also some "ports" of MAME that actually constrict their compatability to NeoGeo and some other systems.

Just use nebula or kawaks, they work perfect for neogeo and they use the same mame romsets, which are easier to find than romsets for neorage.

Does nebula support two players though? Nebula isn't supporting alot of my neogeo roms, even though i rename them frequently , among them is samuraishowdown 3 and waku waku 7
And, If anyone can also reccomend some good 2 player games to run through nebula

If you use Mame keep in mind some Neo Games run weird or Mame won't find them (if you get MAME from a burned disc)
My mame used to find all my roms then I backed MAME up on a CD when I reinstalled it or give it to a friend it doesn't find a bunch of roms like KOF 2003, Garou, Art of Fighting 3, Agressors of Dark Kombat.
Also Kabuki Klash has some issues with MAME

"I guess since NeoRage is optimized to just run the Neo hardware, whereas with MAME each new version bloats and gets lets efficient in order to support more and more hardware. "
Incorrect, Neorage (or any other emu) runs 'better' than MAME because those emulators use your graphics card's power to emulate the game, while MAME uses solely your CPU's power. If you have a powerful computer, you should have no problem using MAME. If not then use nebula or kawaks which work perfect.

It doesn't find the roms because the rom names or rom files has since then been changed. You need to download them again for MAME to recognize it.

I've done that Here's a shot of my MAME audit and the Game not found running i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/kazamayoshikuni/MAME1.jpgi63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/kazamayoshikuni/MAME2.jpgAll I know is this started when I burned mame to a CD and reloaded it on to other computers even if I redownload or download new roms this happens same with SOME CPS2 games (which I think just have bits of other roms in them)
