Assistance Needed: Hacking Castle Shikigami 1 [PC]

This might be the wrong place, but we need some help on this, stat.
Me and a kind volunteer I met at romhacking.net are working on translating Castle Shikigami 1, as it's never been truly localized.
The only US release had all the dialogue removed.
Problem is, we're not too familiar with how to crack this game. We have access to the PC version, but not the disc; just a torrented version I found online.
We want to access the script, and then figure out how to retranslate the text, and put it back in.

Personally, I think we're going about this the wrong way, and need a special program of some kind.... this is just raw data that we can't use. I think.
