Olivia Munn wore leather boots to a PETA rally. I think that sums it up nicely.

The original Phantasm. Managed to find the movie on DVD and gave it a viewing because I hadn't seen it in several years.
I'd forgotten how interesting I thought it was back then... I love that Sentinel (silver sphere) device thingy.

That movie used to scare the hell out of me as a kid. Pretty corny by today's standards, though.

The Phantasm is a great film. It's one of my favorite horror movies along with most of the Phantasm series.

I like the overall theme of the first movie the best. It had a very "Lost Highway" feel to it, in the respect that everything is really just a delusion created by the main character's insecurities. I think it was a mistake to create an entire series out of it all, let alone to make the villains into literal figures, rather than imaginary.
Just my two cents, though.

When some random guys were being racist jackasses during the football game, it just came off as ridiculously and old-fashioned for a movie. "Hey, let's put in a scene where some people are racist to emphasize how old-of-place and good the main character is!". Actually, I hate to inform you, but the South is still extremely racist sometimes. That entire scene is actually extremely telling of a handful of people. On top of that, I honestly would not be surprised if that really happened to the guy.

Not only that, but if you're in Mississippi or other parts of the deep south, the racism runs both ways depending on where you are. Just as an example, I had someone spit in my Wendy's burger in front of me once, and called me a motherfucker for refusing to pay for it, pretty much because I was the only white guy in town at the moment.

I'm on a Kung Fu & Wuxia diet lately: - Five Element Ninjas I love that movie and Crippled Avengers, based on the really screwed up weapons and fighting styles they had. Also, the infamous "step on your intestines" scene.

Last movie I saw was Kickass which was well pretty kick ass. Same here. It was surprisingly mature for the subject matter; awesome movie. Also saw The Princess and the Frog with the folks. Yeah yeah, capitalist pig, Disney movie, I'm a friend, etc. It was pretty awesome though. Dr. Falicier is badass, and I was surprised that Jim Cummings was the Cajun firefly. Man has some serious versatility with his voice.

Just saw Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom! Holy hell! My heart is still beating fast, and I'm just catching my breath... that was one hell of a ride, better than the Avatar shit today! Because this'd be good on subsequent viewings, that's the thing.
It was my first time watching an Indiana Jones film. My step bro and mom told me it was the second one though? But in the box set it says Chapters 23, 24, and 25 with Temple being 23? Then doesn't that make it the first? Or were they released out of order? Obviously, the films were the first thing made, I guess they filled in those other chapters later.
Are there any good Indiana Jones games? I somewhat doubt it... Speaking of which, are there any good classic Star Wars games (I hate the Battlefront crap...) on SNES, Genesis, NES, etc?
