Hello. New here to the forums. I was wondering if anyone here has any information about a Korean game with the English name of Dinosaurs and the Korean name of Jurassic Forest. It's an unfinished game that I discovered on a Korean 270 Super Game Multi-Cart. All of the games appear to be SMS games but the cart is for a Mega Drive. The game is dated 1994 by the software developer "Open". I'm really curious if someone has dumped the rom for it yet or has any information. Thanks

Hi! There are a couple of games by Open that fit a vague "prehistoric" theme: www.hardcoregaming101.net/korea/part1/company-open.htmIf the game you're talking about is not listed on that page, you have found a game that's undocumented so far. Do you still have that multi cart?

Yes I still have the cart and it's not listed on that page. I made a video of it and put it on my You-Tube channel. Not sure if I'm allowed to post links since I just joined this site today. So as not to anger the site's administrators I will just mention that video of the game can be found by searching for Indieseoul or Stalking the Retro on You-tube. I hope it's okay if I mention that. I can't seem to find any information about the game but my Google skills might be at fault.

I'll do it for you! This is actually really neat. Shame you can't select any other levels. I like how when you complete the stage, it replaces the stage picture on the select to the Jurassic Park logo/emblem.

Oh cool thanks. Yeah it's only that one stage then the stage select screen. I wonder if this is a totally original game or a hack of something else. I also asked about this game on some other forums to see if it has been found before or if anyone knows anything more about it. I found this cart in Seoul at one of the gaming markets that I frequent. This cart also has the Dooly game, Mischievous Magpie, Toto World and a few other Korean SMS games. It says 270 games but of course its actually only 27 games repeated several times.

As long as its relevant to the the site and the community and the content doesn't break any rules, you can post whatever you please. You can find the exact forum rules here: hg101.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=games&action=display&thread=2958This game is an awesome find. Open typically didn't do hacks (but some plagiates and at least one contract port), so this is likely an original game. If anyone has ever dumped it, it's Bock from SMS Power (I've seen you posted there, too), but I doubt it, and I don't know if he can dump from those Mega Drive conversion multi carts. I've been in contact with former Open programmer Koo Eunjoong, I'll ask him if he knows anything.

Very interesting profile, as usual; great wok, Derboo! It's amazing to see former French president François Miterrand in a fighting game!! One mistake I spotted was that you spelled 'Tectoy' 'TechToy'.

Hmm... the menu selection for the game doesn't seem to be in the video. What's the exact Korean spelling for the title?

Oh right I should have put that in the video. It's game number 3 and in Korean it's: 쥬라기 숲 (Juraygi Sop) The game itself has only the English title Dinosaurs so it was probably designed for the English speaking market. I would be very interested in what the developer knows about it.

So any news on the Jurassic Forest game? I haven't heard from Bock yet. If anyone knows him can you ask if he has cataloged this game? Derboo have you had a chance to speak to the gentleman from Open yet? Still looking for information about this possibly undiscovered game. Thanks.

It seems that the Korean section's "Lost games" articles, even the currently published ones, don't display any pictures anymore.
