Why am I not surprised that it won't be on PSN?

XBLA completely destroys PSN when it comes to exclusive titles.

This is awesome news! I hope we get a wacky story like the Dreamcast version, because the DS sequel really needed one to keep my interest. It totally fooled me with the intro stages having a fun story then pretty much nothing afterward (the creator's must have felt this way too since they included a mock ending after the tutorials.)

I was also a little disappointed that the DS game lacked any kind of real story. However, it offered some of the best co-operative multiplayer fun I've ever had with a handheld game, so I can't complain too much.

According to the 1up video preview, the game is moreso like the DS game than the Dreamcast one in terms of it's story. So there's a bit at the beginning and then there's "a bunch more stages after the story levels". Also, holy shit the video footage is crazy and there's stuff happening EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME and it's really smooth. No crippling slow-down to be found here (of course)! gamevideos.1up.com/video/id/31016

Then again, my biggest problem with the DS one was that I was playing on a stupidly tiny screen with tons of crap going on, maybe I'll still like the XBLA one a lot.

The world needs more Treasure even if it's Stretch Panic 2... Honestly of all the Treasure products Stretch Panic is one that really deserves a sequel. So much unrealised potential. And that's not just the giant boobs talking. I think we all have to agree to kill the first reviewer that misses the point of Bangai-O when it hits live. There's not nearly enough blood and gore for those god-awful tweens.

I don't quite like how the graphics look. I do like several hundred missiles on screen, though.
Also, the way 1-up does previews is kinda creepy.
