"WE MUST INVADE EARTH, HOW SHALL WE DO IT" "WITH LARGE, THREE LEGGED WALKING MACHINES" "BRILLIANT SIR. NOW FOR SOME SNARGFLAR" But seriously, why does every story with aliens invading the Earth have them using tripedal walking machines? Also props for the trailer taking place in what looks to be London. This is looking good though, very spooky.

Those aren't walking machines. Those are Reapers. Space Technorganic Cthulhus.
I assume only the last part of the game is going to be on Earth with the first part of it being Shepard rallying the troops of various species.

Thankfully, I've been trying to make sure I'll have plenty of races to call to my side.

Uncharted 3, Project: Dark, Mass Effect 3...
This looks like it might be an okay year, I guess.

What I want to know is why everyone always gets their panties in a bunch over Earth specifically being attacked regardless of how many planets humans currently populate.
"You guys want to invade our home planet? Fuck, you can have it. It's been a giant industrial trash heap for the past thousand years. Also, American Idol is in it's 1487th season and I'm pretty sure planetary destruction is the only way to make it stop."

From a storytelling point of view, particularly science fiction, it helps to ground the story in familiar, human terms, mostly because people care more about squishy humans than giant space lizards.

Because it's still home and something of a symbol. And in ME's universe, it's still the center of humanity population-wise (and likely politically, too, even though the Alliance capital is Arcturus Station). The highest population colony world Earth has is Terra Nova, which only has a few million people (compared to well over 11 billion people on Earth.

As much as I can't wait for it I am pretty sure it'll start like this:
* Get Shepherd out of that right pickle of a situation he is in. * 4 big quests to recruit each faction to save earth * Medium sized quest to find out the secret/weakness of the reapers * Lets take the fight home! (sacrifice)
*optional content: gangbang every female you have recruited.

I already prefer megatronbison's script over whatever the game will turn out to be.

*optional content: gangbang every female you have recruited. Change that to mandatory, and I'm sold.
