I don't recall what first brought me here, although I do remember years back trying to find the page again and panicked because I was unable to do so. All I could remember was a black background, a sprite filled image, and witty-ass writing.
I finally found it again and it gets bookmarked with every reformat =)

I honestly have no idea. I do know I visited he Classic Gaming Review Archive quite a bit in the late 90's and knowing my reading habits of the time it was probably linked from classicgaming.com

I first heard of Kurt from the Castlevania Dungeon in the late 90s during the ezboard days. I stopped going there due to lack of interest discussing CV but would occasionally check out the other affiliated sites on GameSpy through their handy dropdown menu. Sometimes, a new site or 2 would pop up.
One day, I noticed a Hardcore Gaming 101 site listed on the menu and checked it out. I found some interesting articles with nice pictures detailing version differences and kept coming back. After awhile, there was a notice that an HG101 forum was created and since I was a fan of the site, I joined the forum. I don't recall visiting much until there was a planned Gundam fighting game article underway, when I felt I could help it out a little.

Bombs are boring. The explosions they cause are not.

I...think it was Google or something. I can't imagine finding this site in any other way.
Might have involved SHMUPS! though, or the Castlevania dungeon, or The Spriters' Resource, or whatever the heck, I have no idea. At least I know I didn't come here to troll (Contrary to popular opinion!).

I came across the article on the Shin Megami Tensei series, liked how much effort went into it and found it an interesting read, and started visiting the site often to see the new articles and read old ones.
I'm not sure how I came across the article however, either via google or a link on another site. It was too long ago to remember!

I'm not sure how I first got to the main site, but it may have been Skies of Arcadia, Psychonauts or some other article that caught my attention. Can't recall the year, but it's been a long time. I know I had the link on my old site for at least 3 to 4 years. I lurked the boards for maybe a year before signing up and then adding my own article to HG101, so I feel like it's come around full-circle. I need to post here more. I like you all.

Let's just say a dear friend once invited me to his forum, then let his friends trash talk me all they wanted, blocked me when I'd had enough, then refused to even acknowledge my existence, let alone any wrongdoing on his part.
This forum has a lot of very friendly people who share my interests and nepotism does not appear to be a problem among the administrators. Also, I feel like I am able to contribute more to you all than I was with this other guy, and a lot more appreciated too.
Now, I'm slowly in the works of creating a website to rival the person who betrayed me. Anything less would simply be seen as trolling or complaining. Don't worry, everyone. I have no intention of turning this forum into a battlefield. Just so long as we can all get along.

I literally can't remember when I first found out about this site or when I joined the forums. All I remember is after forgetting about this place for a while, I came back and remembered I posted here and other people remembered me, so I stayed ever since then. Yup. Exciting story.

Also found the site a long time ago through a Google search of some game series. MegaTen I think. And like a lot of others here, I remembered Kurt's name from the halcyon days of my youth spent on the Castlevania Dungeon. I only just recently started posting again. Good to be back.
