I can't believe nobody has brought up Other M yet.
So: Other M.

Dhalsim's ending had himself and his son drawn with really huge lips. It was also the last ending that was redrawn in Super Street Fighter II Turbo, since almost all the other endings were redrawn in the previous installments (not reissues, they're separate games, you have to be really naive to think that Super Turbo is a reissue of the original World Warrior just because they both have a roman numeral "II" in their titles). I meant reissues on different consoles down the generations, like the SF2 collection for PS2, I cant recall if that one kept the images or not.

I am surprised nobody in this thread has brought up "Anybody on XBL/PSN".

I didn't play San Andreas because that distinct type of black gang life fiction doesn't appeal to me. This may seem like a personal question, but I think it's relevant to the discussion. Were you born and raised in America? If not, I can understand how you wouldn't see that kind of opinion as coming across as racist. It would just be a personal preference. In America, there's an entire world of subtext to the relationship between white and black people. If you liked a series that was all about Italian criminals, then suddenly don't want to play one with a black guy as the lead character, you appear to be racist. It's much like the "birther" movement now with Obama. I find it very hard to believe that so many people honestly take issue with the current President and his policies, and not just the fact that he's a black man. Granted, there may be plenty of people who simply prefer a "godfather" approach to a crime story instead of a "gang" one. Even so, with all of the history at work in American culture, that kind of opinion makes someone seem racist. Is it right for things to be this way? No, but that's the way it is. Another thing that bothered me about this was, when the game came out, the same people who said they didn't want to play as a black man were the ones who were listening to gangsta rap in the 90s. So it's okay to listen to stories about street crime and being a black criminal, but it's a step too far to actually pretend that you're one yourself. Oooookayyyy....(not saying this part applies to you personally, derboo)

Speaking of GTA, before the release of GTAIV, the only GTA games in which you could swim were those starring black men (San Andreas and Vice City Stories). Not sure if it was some sort of racism or what, but it's interesting to note.
And, speaking of stereotypes and gang members, Konami's Crime Life: Gang Wars is one huge gangsta stereotype. Sure, it was by an European studio (Hothouse Creations), but so was San Andreas, and that one's not as stereotypical as Crime Life.

If that was racism, it would mean you couldn't swim in the games with black people. Thankfully, considering how over the top the GTA games are, they never really delve into the realm of racism.

As a straight male, I find BioWare's attempts at same sex relationships in their games manage to fall flat.
I mean, Male Shepard is apparently always straight no matter who's playing, while Female Shepard can be bi, but only if the female in the group is a member of a bisexual, all-female alien race.
In the first Dragon Age, the only male romance option for a male player character is a psychotic bisexual elf. And the sequel simply has every character who isn't DLC be available to either gender of player.
I mean, in addition to the lack of same sex male options, they go and make just about every character that might be homosexual as bi instead. Not that I have a problem with bisexuals, but really, every potential same-sex partner is bi?

Jack openly states that she was in at least one three-way relationship.

RE5 would have offended me if I played it, but it didn't seem like it'd be very fun, so I didn't bother. Signed, A black person.

The endings were the same in in the PS1 and Saturn collection, since they're ported straight from the original arcade version's source code. www.vgmuseum.com/end/psx/b/sf2col_ndhal.htm

I don't know how RE5 be called racist when it takes place in Africa and it's only being true to it's setting.
My contribution is DJ Boy though I didn't find it offensive either.
