So this is coming to Playism/Steam in 3 days, for ten bucks. Looks pretty cool, though I'm not sure how well the gameplay will hold up over the course of the game, there's only so much you can do with timing puzzles. Then again, the humour and presentation makes me not care so much.

If it goes on sale sometime I would might buy it again for the extras. The PSP release was lots of fun. Wish they'd do a proper sequel.

There is. It's just that it's a Japanese exclusive

Awwwww. It's just like Retro Game Challenge then. Why won't people buy these awesome games Xseed localizes?

Awwwww. It's just like Retro Game Challenge then. Why won't people buy these awesome games Xseed localizes? Because they're niche products, and aren't on PC, where there's a broad enough audience to support them? Not sure what the numbers are in Xseed's case, but there certainly have been a few indies that supported that assumption.

Yeah it was mostly a rhetorical question. I just need to become independently wealthy and hire a team to localize video games for me. Or study Japanese more. Either one.

I really enjoyed the PSP game. Skipped the XBLA release since the new graphics didn't appeal to me, but for PC, why not? I've been meaning to write about these games for awhile.
I got the second one in the mail last week too. It's very similar, with some tweaks - there's a persistent overworld rather than just a map, enemies are visible on the map, there are multi-party battles, and so forth.

God I hope the success of this means we get the sequel. Even if it's on Steam or whaver.
How steep's the language barrier of HMH2?

I'd be all up for a PC version of HMH2.

How steep's the language barrier of HMH2? So far, not thick at all. It plays pretty much the same way, at least the first few missions. Tentatively I'll say that if you know what you're doing, you should't have a problem.

You know you can turn on "classic" graphics, right? You don't have to play with the [admittedly hideous] "HD" graphics. The multiplayer mode doesn't allow that though iirc...it's been a while. It was a lot of fun, too. Basically multiplayer was just a bunch of new levels that people played competitively to try and beat the boss first...that said, I suppose having a leaderboard per level accomplishes the same thing, just about. Still, there's something about playing in real time with real people that's really exciting.

Yuusha 30 Second is $33 on play-asia... it'll go nicely with my order of Yakuza Dead Souls($16!)
What do I do...!? (also, uh, better go find me a coupon...)

HMH2 is amazing so far. I tried to play as the girl first, and it seems to be locked out, so I started as the main character?
Ah well, more 30 second goodness, I'll figure it out as I go.
