Oh lord, yes.I loved Darksiders. It was shamelessly derivative, but damn it, I thought it was a hell of a lot of fun and extremely satisfying. I loved it's ridiculous over-the-top fantasy trappings and crazy characters. While it doesn't sound like a sequel to the (surprisingly good) plot of the first game, giving the ending, that still sounds immensely appealing. I guess it runs parallel to the time-frame of the first. Anyways, I'm really excited. Darksiders was quite possibly my favourite game from last year.

Darksiders was an awesome game so I'm really looking forward to the sequel. Hope Death is as fun to play as as War was.

Kind of disappointed that you can't play as all four like I had previously heard. I was really looking forward to the idea of playing as Strife: his design in the concept art looked awesome.
Still, if it's going to be an improvement over the original, than it's going to be excellent. The original was a bit rough around the edges, but I was really drawn into it's post-apocalyptic fantasy world.

Yeah, I was really looking forward to playing as Strife because he just looked so ridiculously 90's. I really liked the way Fury looked, too.

Strife looked pretty cool, and his (apparently) focus on long-range combat would have been interesting, but I don't know if you can beat Death in terms of 90's-ness. Look at the amount of skulls and bones on that guy!

I know I'm not 'supposed' to like Darksiders, since it's Kind Of A Bad Game; but I just have to. This looks cool as hell.

If it's wrong to love Darksiders, I don't wanna be right!

Eh, I wouldn't call it "Kind Of A Bad Game". If anything, I'd say "Kind Of An Awesome Game" applies more, since you wouldn't expect something essentially stapled together from other games to be so good.
Admittedly, my opinion would probably be better if I hadn't played it on hard mode. I love a challenge, but all it did was apparently give everything ridiculous amounts of HP.

If it's wrong to love Darksiders, I don't wanna be right! Damn right! As for Hard mode - yeah, I was expecting a bit more, too. After I beat it I checked out some of the earlier stuff on Normal but it seemed that all they did was make everything hurt a bit more and make everything take a bit more, which, to be honest, mattered at only a few specific points until the final boss, since he had some attacks that were a bit tough to dodge.

when you actually think about the design, in Darksiders, none of it really makes sense from any logical standpoint. none of the characters in the game really make sense to why they're happen to be there, or what they are doing. it's a 'fun game' but not for a lot of people, i am one of the people that thinks it is a fun game but at the same time recognizing why it is a Bad Game

I'm not seeing how some logical gaps in the story make it a "bad game".

...Only it isn't a bad game. It has a Metacritic score of 82-83 and it's sold over 1 million units. Unless I live in some crazy backwards logic world, those are usually qualities of a good game.
Yeah, there's a bunch of people who don't like the game. But every game is going to have its haters no matter how well the game is received by everyone else.

I dunno, man, Madden often gets higher scores and better sales Disregarding popularity entirely, although I wasn't personally interested in Darksiders, it seemed like a genuinely well-made game. It was just too much like Zelda for my tastes, and the whole hack n' slash thing is really boring for me.

the whole hack n' slash thing is really boring for me. Yeah, honestly, I agree...I'll play a hack and slash game if it doesn't get too bogged down in combos and cinematic crap, and if the fight system feels satisfying. Somehow, Darksiders didn't quite deliver there, despite the cinematic stuff being mostly optional. I just couldn't get that feeling of "I'm doing something awesome!" or "I'm powerful!" from fighting with the sword. Maybe it's just because I prefer the boom of a good gun, or just straight up fist-fighting. =P
