www.hg101.kontek.net/triothepunch/triothepunch.htmThis game gets brought up all of the time when it comes to ridiculous/absurd/awful games, usually in the same sentence as PuLiRuLa, but I have yet to play it, still. Go Data East, then? It apparently had enough of a following to get one of those crappy MAME-on-a-disc PS2 releases in Japan.

I should point out that Santos makes a cameo in at least one other Data East game (Boogie Wings/Great Ragtime Show), perhaps more.

Great job, Mike! My only issue is I thought Santos was using a giant battery to beat people with, but then again I think it's kind of a Rorschach Test put forth by the game to expose your dark secrets. The music (all one track of it...IIRC) is one of my favorites. The choice to stick with a, continuous, never-ending track really fits the game. It's trance-like. You feel like getting something done. Aaaaah! Van Damme Face! I'm pretty sure Kamakura was doing the same thing under that Shredder mask of his.

The character select theme, your character's unique theme, which loops endlessly until you switch, a game over theme, and the ending. That's it. I've always wondered why Data East seemed to have difficulty including more that seven tracks in their games. Its kinda silly.
