For those of you who haven't checked out the demo to this fps go here fileplanet.comSign up for fileplanet if you haven't. The game is so fucking incredible. It's just a demo, but it's like DOOM3 Only actually scary and not a big bucket of shadows. Plus there is sme intense firefights and some pretty original guns I mean, you have a gun that shoots ACID. There will be a hg101 article about this game.

I highly doubt it can be any better than Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, one of the greatest games ever.

Well the problem with a hg101 article is the game itself is almost certainly going to be a sure-fire hit of this year. I thought hg101 was more about lesser known/popular titles that are something different or special.
Also it does seem to be shaping up to be a great single player experience but the jurys still out on the multiplayer as while the teleports and wall walking is interesting, it doesn't seem to add much in the current two maps.
For fps of the year though it has tough competition with FEAR so it'll be interesting to see the full version.

Hg101 Shouldn't be limited to niche games. It should be limited to -Good- games or whatever goes up

I'd prefer a seperate section for non-niche games. Though I understand why it'd be nice to have good games in general part of the attraction of hg101 for new comers is it has good games they've never heard off.
Also I remember that I'm far more anticpation ET:Quake Wars then Prey.

Played the demo (the SP portion at least - I'm not much of a deathmatcher) and I'm impressed. It actually is somewhat scary to me (a person that barely so much as shivered at Resident Evil on Gamecube), mostly in the ways that they mess with your head. The most memorable part of the demo, for me, would have to be when you crawl through a portal and find yourself shrunk to 1/100 scale on a really small planet in a glass case. Now that was a trip.
"No...THIS is fucked up."

Yes the single player is trippy and the whole miniworld thing was great, also a nice touch is when he says he's going to be sick if you keep shifting gravity he will throw up.
And yeah I did use the acid gun and shoot people in obscure ways, I hope the main game is a little more balanced with it's multiprey weapons since it seems acidgun > everything.

I highly doubt it can be any better than Final Fantasy Mystic Quest, one of the greatest games ever. By a strange coincidence, I bought a loose copy of that today. Would rather it were Mario Kart, though (worth more for some odd reason, and I don't have it already in my collection). Anyway, I played the Prey demo the night it came out. It's good, but I have a feeling it's gonna be slightly overrated. Still better than the vast majority of FPSes out there, though. I'd say it's HL2 quality (or very nearly so), as things go.

Eh. The only way I'd put up a Prey article would be if there was something significant about it that wasn't talked about elsewhere (i.e. that's why the Killer7 review is up.) I have a funny feeling we'll be seeing PlanetPrey or something like that, if Gamespy still participates in such things.
I'm still waiting for them to release the 360 demo. I could hijack one of my roommate's computer but...eh. I'm happy it comes out in like a week and a half though. I mean...finally something to buy this summer this isn't a compilation or Dead Rising.

For my part, it's been years since I was the age where I would've appreciated KMFDM. Not a bad band, but jus' saying. The new soundtrack was scored by Jeremy Soule (and some other guy assisted), who compared it to doing a whole season of network drama in a few weeks. I'll have to play the demo again before I can really form an opinion, but I think it's understated compared to Morrowind or Oblivion (whose soundtracks are more like classic console game tracks).

Been listening to them for a good 10 years and I'm still happy with them Couldn't have seen their style complimenting an atmospheric FPS but I was just curious!
