Correct. Peggle and Bejeweled are official add-ons to wow, IE: separate games designed to plug into and run in wow but not actually wow itself. (Albeit, add ons that are no longer supported and updated ) Oh, I didn't know WoW Peggle still plugged into the game somehow. Fingers crossed they don't rape Popcap. They've been fine with Bioware and DICE so far... I hadn't thought of that. I'd almost forgotten EA owned Bioware at all.

So, here we are, six years later. Popcap sure got proper snuffed, didn't they? I was just thinking how strange it was that we haven't heard a single thing, or even a PC version of PvZ 2. Sometimes in cases like this, you expect the people to leave and start their own company so they can keep doing their thing, but that doesn't seem to have happened, has it?

Popcap still seems to be around, but I certainly haven't heard much of anything from them. Not that I ever paid the company much attention anyways, but I honestly forgot they existed until this thread was bumped, lol. I think the only recent stuff I know of that they're involved in is the Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare spinoff from a couple years back.

We never even got an Peggle 2 PC port yet which is sad.
Popcap really started the whole match-three games and casual games trend but they did it better than anyone else, i honestly think Bejeweled is much better than any King game.
Really, even if they removed the IAPs and gave everything for free, i would still prefer Bejeweled 3 to any Candy Crush Saga or any of their games with Saga on the name.

So sad. I would love to see more done with some of their other games. Love to see a Venice 2 or an Alchemy 2.

I'm just sad that Skaven, the dude who did the music for their early games has vanished into the aether.

I guess that's kind of the thing. PopCap was at least partly responsible for the surge in casual gaming, but everything they did was just packed with quality.

Most likely. TBH you aren't missing much though. I played it on mobile and it's crap.

Space Tyrant looks kind of interesting. Slayaway Camp and Killer Puzzle were just not very good.
Octogeddon looks the most like a Popcap game out of any of those. I'll have to check it out.
