I don't think that will change anytime soon considering women are still being looked as sex objects in most games. Yeah, but a boy can dream, can't he? Also, I kind of hate where video games are going lately. If it weren't for companies like Nippon Ichi, Atlus, and Namco who realize that maybe a handful gamers want to do something besides steal cars, race illegally, and shoot authority figures to the latest Lil Jon Top 40 sonic abomination, I would have probably never started rebuilding my collection after it all disappeared 2004 and went into a more socially acceptable hobby, like model trains, reality television or counting ceiling tiles in my never ending battle between ennui and my slowly slipping sanity.

Yeah and Chun Li aged a LOT between SF2 and SF3 eh? Hmmm....There was only like, 10 or so years between 2 and 3, right? I've some some women in their mid thirties (and I'm NOT talking Hollywood plastic faced types) that still manage to look amazing, so why would Chun Li suddenly look like a spinsters/old maid at the same age? Then again, with the pay off she gets for taking down Shadowlaw/Bison in 2, maybe Chun Li can afford to go the hollywood option ;D

I...The only problem is most gay characters are simply played for comic relief, which is just kind of depressing when you think about it.) I completely agree. I also agree with the 'women used as sex objects' comment... although that's still rife in all aspects of the media (magazines, RnB video clips, et. al.) Video games, and society in general, have still got a loooong way to go yet.

Obviously YOU haven't played Tomb Raider, which revolutionised female characters in video games- she is a strong independant women y'know! . . . The sad thing is some people tried to say this really was the case
