This seems like it would be a prime candidate for a weekly kusoge.

I thought about it when I was first doing the article, but to be honest, it's not really a BAD game. If it didn't have the Aerosmith license, it'd just be a boring, monotous shooting gallery, but there's nothing specifically BROKEN about it. The unfair difficulty was just what Western arcade games DID back then. Take a look at Mortal Kombat 2's AI.

I constantly saw this game in the PC bargain bins back in the day. Is it on par with the PS1 and Saturn versions? There is no mention of it.
A few quick corrections: andc [??] degrdations some section have -> some sections have

It's technically a mod of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, so that's related. Also, I loved the game back in the day, and I didn't even like Aerosmith. I was just in the height of my 'live action video in games = awesome!' phase.

I still remember back in early 2006 seeing a cart of the Genesis version on a store near my house and asking myself what the hell did Aerosmith have to do with the game. Then, weeks after that, I ended up buying the game out of curiosity. At first I didn't like it, but then, after taking it to a friend's house and playing through the whole game with him, I started to enjoy it, mostly because of how silly it was. The SNES version, however, that one sucks. It's slightly more true to the arcade original than the Genesis port, but I find the Genesis version more entertaining.
Also, regarding the "just like those on Mortal Kombat" line about the digitized characters, it's interesting to note that both Helga and the hostages (or at least those on the first level) were played by someone who would later end up on an MK game: Kerri Hoskins (Sonya on MK3 and its subsequent versions -UMK3, MK Trilogy, MK Advance and UMK DS)

Glad you took the time to expand the article beyond just a kusoge blurb, because I have some fond memories of playing this and its console counterparts back in the day. I used to sink some decent change into it in the arcades and even played the hell out of it on SNES and PS1. I had fun with it, though it does get more backlash than other similarly flawed licensed games (like The Simpsons).
