Wait for Star Fox. Then blow the hell out of hapless idiots online.
Also, steer far away from Tao and the Curse of the Demon Seal. I loved Azure Dreams, which is what the game is modeled after, but they completely took out what made AD so fun. So basically you're left with a linear dungeon romp which is more work to play than it was to make.

Star Fox... each time they make a new Star Fox exactly like it is not supossed to be.
Star Fox 64: Added all range mode missions, which weren't really bad but I was glad the whole game wasn't like that. Star Fox Adventures: Zelda Star Fox. Not bad, but not the best either. It wasn't even Star Fox anyways. I liked it, looking at it from a non Star Fox, non shooter point of view. Star Fox Assault: Looks awesome judging it by the first mission, until you reach those awful foot levels, which are more than half of the missions. WTF was Namco/Nintendo thinking? Star Fox Command: all missions are all range mode now? WTF? I really don't like the sound of that.
And another thing, Star Fox had one of the best soundtracks ever, why the F*ck doesn't Nintendo reuse THAT soundtrack instead of the lame Star Fox 64 one? Nintendo keeps reusing the same tracks over and over from SF64 in Super Smash Bros/Melee, Star Fox Adventures/Assault.
It's like they forgot the awesome SNES soundtrack exists. At least they used one track in from the SNES one in SMBMelee.

Have you guys read the article on Starfox 2 in last month's Retro Gamer? The stuff they were planning on putting in that game is awesome. You had a strategic map of the system and were free to pursue missions as you saw fit. As you were on planets attacking/defending, stuff would be happening in real time all over the system. So while you were attacking an enemy base on one planet, an armada might be moving in to your home planet. You could intercept the armada in space, or you could go back home and fight them on land. Apparently all of this was to be randomized so that each game would have a different set of events. From what it sounded like, the game was not meant to be anything epic, so you would typically resolve the game in one sitting (assuming you were skillful enough). You would then replay the game to get different events, etc. After reading that, all the Starfox games since then seem like such a huge step down. SF2 could have been something awesome. I guess the Rom floating around is pretty complete, though the random elements are not in place?

A good site for my fellow aussies: www.palgn.com.auThey tend to post updated release lists (for Australia) on a regular basis. For the US? Who knows, I'm not in the US, so could care less what games get released there

New Super Mario Bros was a lot of fun, although short. I'd also recomend Kirby Canvas Curse. I had a blast with it and thought it was a very good game. Mr. Driller is also fantastic.
