www.digitalleisure.com/contents/DVDVideo_games.htmI don't know why, but I've always liked laser disc games for some reason. It's great that Digital Leisure Inc. has decided to re-release some of these classics in PC CD-ROM/DVD-Video format so I can play them legally without any need of emulation. My favorite laser disc games from that list are: - Dragon's Lair - Dragon's Lair II: Timewarp - Space Ace - Crime Patrol II: Drug Wars (American live-action light gun game - great (but short) fun!)

Yea, I loved their Dragon's Lair DVD. Haven't played the rest though.

Ahhhh.... The laser disc era... Huge discs that wouldn't fit in your backpack and that you had to carefully flip over half thru the movie....

And today, well at least Star Wars fans are getting use out of 'em...

I bought myself the Dragon's Lair 20th anniverary boxset awhile back (DL1 and 2 and Space Ace) and they're really cool. Hard as hell, but cool.
I also have a really old CD copy of Mad Dog McCree 1 and 2, but the video is grainy as hell, sadly.
The shooting games though, I dunno...how are you supposed to play them on anything but a PC with a mouse?

Hey, 98PaceCar posted pics of an RDI Halycon today. That's relevant! Personally, I'd like Digital Leisure to get ahold of some of the more exotic laserdisc game rights, stuff like Taito's laserdisc arcade games (Time Gal and Ninja Hayate for example), maybe even some of the MSX Palcom games...

I can't believe no one has mentioned TimeTraveller yet. I keep it in my car so I can break the ice anywhere I am near a DVD player.
My personal favorite scene is in the modern era, when you teleport in the middle of a baseball game, and all you have to do is press the duck button, and he ducks under the slow pitch and shoots the pitcher and the batter in cold blood
The response? The crowd cheers, the catcher throws off his mask, and the umpire runs up to you with a big exagerrated "YERRRRR OUT!"

I whole heartedly agree with you. I would be mostly interested in Esh's Aurunmilla myself.

Wow, I didn't even know that game existed until you linked it. Sometime I'll have to browse through all the Dragon's Lair Project pages (sometime as in maybe today) Edit: oh man that's a great dub. Laughing at all the comments he makes under his breath (especially funny in combination with the worm faces' mumblings in the third movie).
