I just read the Wikipedia article on Keiji Inafune, and it mentions that prior to making Mega-/Rock-man 2, he and his team had to make a game called "Professional Baseball Murder Mystery". I can't find a damn thing about it. Does anybody know anything?

I know that if it's anything like a Megaman game, with that title it's probably hilarious.

The Japanese title is "Pro Yakyuu? Satsujin Jiken!", to help find the ROM. I just download it. I guess it's an adventure game. It has an overhead view like a console RPG.
Weird.
EDIT:
ohshit, the cops are running me down for some reason and the game turned into an overhead action scene just like Commando, except the cops are throwing shurikens.
what the fuck is going on

obviously you've never taken another man's life in Japan at a sporting event.
The shirukens are pretty much standard operating procedure for that sort of thing.

Eh, I was expecting an RPG...well, half right on that. Hmm.

Random shuriken-tossing police?! This could be the greatest action/adventure/RPG/sports hybrid to ever exist. I'll make a note to snag the rom in the real near future.

Good God, Capcom should've stuck with Rockman over this tripe.

You know, as odd as it is to see a blue robot go around and defeat big-eyed animal robots and Albert Einstein look-alikes on a regular basis, I think this sounds stranger yet.
And I love it all the same. Inafune, you magnificent bastard.

My word, what a fantastic find!! This game is so bizarre, it needs it's own article on the site. I can't stop playing it, even if it's not that great. Exalt! Must find my own copy, and an actual Atari 7800 to play it on. Back on topic, is there a translation around anywhere? I'd like to know at least what is going on.
