I always have to go with Mounds over Almond Joys, though my favorite candy product is definitely Twix.

Not sure how we got to talking about candy, but I love Starburst I am concerned about the longevity of my newer systems however. I'm concerned about my 360 in particular, because if it dies out then I might lose all of my downloadable content for it D:

That probably isn't much of a threat to worry about. So long as you have it all downloaded on your HDD, you can transfer it over to a new 360 with one of those cables they have. If you don't currently have some of your downloaded items on your HDD, you can always just switch the authorizations over to the new machine once you get your old profile onto it.

I've lost two consoles over my career. My Gamecube crapped out first, but the Wii solved that. I lost one Dreamcast, but had a spare. My NES, SNES and N64 are holding up okay, but I may try these cleaning techniques to see if it would help them out.
Fave Candy = Peanut Butter M&M's and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

I've had a few different broken systems get dumped on me by other people (Dreamcast, PC Engine Duo-RX, Japanese 360, 1-slot MVS, etc.), but the only one of mine to ever crap out on me was my DS Lite, oddly enough. I got it back to perfectly working condition, though. For some odd reason, the bottom screen just died. It started with a line or two, then eventually the whole thing showed nothing but a garbled mess of color when on. I bought a new LCD, and luckily that was all it needed. It's kind of pain opening and dealing with modern systems, though. I much prefer navigating the simple innards of an old system.
As for older systems, especially those that are cart-based (even the broken Duo can still play HuCards just fine), I haven't encountered any that I couldn't get working. I've had many NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, etc. systems pass through my hands, and they've all worked well once cleaned.

I've had my Dreamcast crap out on me twice.
The heat in the power block causes the connectors to split apart in time, kind of a pain trying to push them back closer together.

So far none of my consoles have crapped out on me, thankfully. My 360 survived the few red rings it threw (one of them oddly enough caused by the Perfect Dark Zero demo... I guess that was a warning by the 360 on the game's quality The rest were because of blackouts). The closest thing that happened to crapping out was with my PS2's modchip after the console fell to the floor, and even then all we had to do was solder it back in. Hell, my Genesis was quite fried and yet it still worked like a charm!

I've had a lot of hardware die. My original 360 caught a red ring, our first DS' touchscreen completely died, our first Gamecube stopped reading discs, our original fat PS2 did the same thing, and our first Wii stopped reading many discs (and also was about as loud as a chainsaw. unfortunately the new one we bought doesn't have the controller ports for gamecube controllers. made me sad.). All of our older stuff, the original game boys, SNES, NES, N64, PS1 and Genesis all still work (or were working, last I saw of them). I keep on saying "our" because I have three brothers - each of the consoles have got a lot of time logged on them, but we treat them gently.
(favourite candy: twix. or skittles. no, yeah, twix. mmm.)

Nice. (Assuming you got it working again.)

Nah, it's been collecting dust for a decade, haha. We have a consolized 2-slot, though. The 1-slot is functional, but sound is dead. We've been lazy about deciding if we want to try to fix it or just sell it for parts, but either way the Neo Geo is my fiance's baby so it's his project to deal with, haha. I just sit back and reap the benefits of playing MVS games. :P

Only my PSOne has failed on me, but I used that thing well. As opposed to nowadays where I have a couple of other systems to play, my only gaming was my PSOne. It took forever to start a game or some such when I got my PS2 so I was going to let my girlfriend have it to play FF7, but it finally stopped working, so I gave her my PS2, she still hasn't played FF7...
I change on candy, but currently I enjoy Almond Joy because I hate dark chocolate. I am quite partial to a Whatchamacallit bar and Nut Rolls.

I killed three PSXs through overuse, and two DCs, and a single 360 to RROD.

I've had bad luck with consoles at points; * Two PS1's died on me (Overplaying in these cases) * Three PS2's (One was my brothers- the laser died, one bought second hand had it's circuit board erode(?) and one sadly, burgled.) * One Xbox 360 (I also bought a second hand one recently and it is broken too- need to return it...) * One PC Engine (The guy who sold me it fought tooth and nail refusing to accept it was broken when he sent it- claimed I just didn't know how to use it! Man, it was ridiculous- he eventually replaced the CD unit though) * One Mega CD - (I'm pretty sure this could be fixed with a replacement fuse but I can't solder for the life of me and no-one has been able to offer to fix it either - my poor Snatcher and Shining Force CD waste away!) * One Wii (bricked it by accidentally applying an update without having it backed up- my replacement is running much better thankfully!) So yeah- not had the best of luck really! All my cartridge based systems are fine though- same for the handhelds. Oh and favourite sweets? Kinder Bueno- damn good!
