Raise your hand if you like Sunsoft platformers. Wing of Madoola isn't the company's best, but it's still damned interesting. It's also perhaps structurally similar to Wonderboy in Moster Land, which ties into this week's Game Club. Indeed quite interesting. But also quite unrefined. Fighting enemies is a hassle, especially with the low strength of the sword. And even after getting the first sword upgrade, the frog (?) enemies are annoying. Especially, since they move way too fast.
Like Hydlide, it's mainly interesting from a historical view. It's nice to see an early work in the vein of Wonder Boy.
