From 2001-2005 I was one of the craziest Saturn nutjobs you could ever find. In this topic I just want to provide two links that contain my work and passion over the years. Enjoy. --- Page with many links to my impressions on rare, obscure Saturn games saturn.classicgaming.gamespy.com/content/features/steve/And this, ahhhh, the classic Sega Saturn Magazine Top 50 thread... this topic was so much fun to make and work on. I never had a better time posting than when I worked on this baby here, which blew up and became bigger and more popular than I could ever imagine. It even led to me getting emailed personally by RICH LEADBETTER and GARY CUTLACK (SSM editor and SSM writer respectively) telling me how much they enjoyed my tribute and trip down memory lane. Their emails are copied and pasted on the last page... www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67146

nah, must be a wrong number Nice reviews there. My copy of Sol Divide...well, it's an XS Games release. The cover art on that Saturn import looks MUCH nicer, although the game still sucks (although I think this review goes a bit too far; it's not THAT bad).

You didn't like SOl Divide?
I have it on MAME Rom Takes forever to load (like most psykyo roms) but the game is pretty good not exellent but pretty decent.
if there is one thing I regret it's not having a Saturn, I heared it had the best port of Alpha 3

Sol Divide is great. It was cool to find Psikyo doing something different to Sengoku Ace, and they did it with class.
Nice to see another site dedicated to Saturn games, by the way. I own the system since 1995, brought from Japan, and still play it these days.

Man good to see another Hyper Duel fan Steven. You ever hear of S.S.H.? He's a one man heavy metal game music remix machine. His stuff is basically flawless. He did a cover of one of the faster Hyper Duel songs, Black Rain as well as a bunch of Thunder Force songs. If you want contact me on AIM ( Neo Rasa ) and I'll send them to you.

Man... I have NOT been to the DP forums in ages upon ages... eh, Steve! A kickass wedsite you have there, and a great list. I'm always looking to build my Saturn collection. An exalt for you! ;D
Dammit, now I really wanna get Powerslave... I've heard nothing but good about it, especially the Saturn version.

I remember hating it when it first came out. It uses a LOT of 2D sprites for props and background elements. Moreso than even DOOM and DOOM II: Hell on Earth. So there'll be a lot of points where you try to look past a ledge and see a gigantic stretched bitmap of a torch obstructing half your viewpoint. Very cool game overall though. Plus it gets bonus points for the Iron Maiden reference. Saturn version is probably the best running FPS on the system.

Ah, perfect segway to plug my friend's website www.whipassgaming.com/He loves Sega (esp. the Genesis), cats and runs one kickin' site. He is also the hugest PowerSlave fan you'll ever find. Hell, his handle is BELPOWERSLAVE. The programmers at Lobotomy knew he was such a fan that back in the day they flew him up to get a sneak peek and play on their Saturn ports of Duke 3D and Quake! Now that's cool Here's his kick ass PowerSlave section of the site: www.whipassgaming.com/genesisreviews/powerslave.htmlon a side note check out his incredibly compelling quest of his holy grail Megaman on Megadrive. I love this piece: www.whipassgaming.com/Weekend%20Projects/weekend_megaman.html
