Maybe you all can point to the problem.
a year ago and 1 month ago I was playing my Dreamcast and it reset on me just a black screen I turned it off then back on.....nothing so I let it sit a few hours took it downstairs it was fine (also I use a Saturn to DC and PSX to DC converter) I was pretty confused maybe the conveters did this I thought. So a few days later I start up CVS 2 get a new game going I had lost the save due to filling up a blank on my nexus card. So.......my dremcast goes black again while playing. I turn it off. turn it on switch memory blanks no game in dreamcast....it goes black again while I'm changing blanks memory card is dead.....dreamcast is black. So I started it up again and it started up fine, I haven't played my dreamcast since because I lost 5 years worth of game saves.
What did my Dreamcast in? Was it the power suppily using converters? or was it bleem which I had been using before this all started as well?

Might be the power converters? I discovered the DC is quite fussy. Usually I use the PS2 and DC cords interchangably, but when I was taking screenshots for Cannon Spike, I used my Japanese PS2 cord (which has a slightly different shape but still fits, and works just fine...it's just like the Xbox cord basically), and it kept randomly losing power in the middle of gameplay. I switched power cords and it worked fine after that.

It is a universal Modded Dreamcast (I think next time I'll get a Japanese DC with a DCSX boot disc)
I used the cord that came with my Dreamcast since I got it Never switched over. The Converters I spoke of are the ones that let you use Saturn/PS pads on the DC. (I hate the Dreamcast default pad)
When My dreamcast goes black it's still on but the screen is gone no sound either so it's not an AV problem.
