I trust that game didn't have an actual WWF license?

Nope, also, they did change the cover into something less sue-tastic when it reached the West

Just a quick note to point out an error: The bit involving The Replacement Killers says "The Replacement Killers vs True Crime: Streets of New York," but the cover art shown clearly says "True Crime: Streets of LA[/u]."

The oldest example yet: Another painting by Frank Frazetta vs. the flavour art that came with the BASIC listing of a game called "Treasure Dungeon 2" in SoftSide September 1979.

You know what I learned from reading this thing? I hate it when games have sexy women in their ads/promotional art/whatever and they're completely absent from the game. See that Thunder Blade art up the page? yeah, it's a game about helicopters. There are no sexy women's legs in it. It kind of pisses me off when companies do this. Seriously. I hate it.

That Thunder Blade ad looks like it belongs to Demolition Girl on the PS2. You have to fly helicopters around giant woman wearing nothing but bikinis. It's true!

Found one while seeing some of my posts on that Japanese Artwork Of Western Games thread: the Japanese cover for Starhawk. In some way it's similar to the Cabal/Rampart/COD2/Deadliest Catch covers.

Here's one for both the Final Fight 2 box and the Streets of Rage cover it stole from. Look at Blaze on the right of the latter: Now look at Maki (?) and Carlos (?) in the background of the former: Now check out this poster for the film Sister Street Fighter starring Etsuko Shihomi and Sonny Chiba: Which means in this case, both covers borrowed from the same source. Interesting!

Fun stuff. That opens three possibilities:
1) The artist for both covers was indeed the same. 2) There's an intermediate source that contains all elements shared by all the game covers and the film poster. 3) While ripping off the Streets of Rage cover, the artist knew that it in turn was inspired by the Sister Street Fighter poster (the most improbable, IMO).

Hey, have a video game that might have a bunch of stolen images in it. The super awful Amiga CD is a cowboy game, and from the looks of it large parts of the game have been traced from cowboy movies (and possibly other sources). Some of it is traced from the staff of the game though.
The guy at 5:45 is definitely Clint Eastwood, and I know i've seen the guy who checks his watch at 22:21, as well as the death animation at 26:53. Also, according to the uploader, 12:00 is possibly from Blazing Saddles and 25:57 could be traced directly from Back to the Future 3. Sorry I'm not any help in finding the specific scenes :c.
