That should make the third one on the first screenshot Elton John. I think that's supposed to be Andy Warhol actually.

Pretty much, probably this picture, or another from the same shooting: Not quite happy with the photo for Madonna. There should be more fitting ones out there, but currently I'm not finding any: Very obviously Johnny Rotten: Now seeing the full roster, the guy next to Johnny Rotten actually also looks a lot like Robert Smith, the eyebrows and chin are even more similar than the other one:

Took a look at the game itself, and I just uploaded an image with each and every one of the character portraits: i.imgur.com/TeyGn.png (putting a direct link since it's probably gonna stretch the page out) I think it's safe to say that Column 2, Row 3 is MC Hammer. I also see Vanilla Ice in Column 4, Row 1, but maybe that's just me.

That one shot of the player for Chase H.Q.'s flyer reminds me of Charles Bronson, maybe from a still from 10 to Midnight or so : The sequel S.C.I. seems to take a still from I, Spy, but I can't find the right shot.

I think it's safe to say that Column 2, Row 3 is MC Hammer. Now to find an old photo of him without glasses... Column 7, Row 4: David Bowie; Column 4, Row 3: Could be Angus Young; Column 1, Row 3: Possibly Faith-era George Michael. Everytime I look at Column 8, Row 2 I think Winona Ryder, but it doesn't seem like she had appeared with really short hair by 1992. The sequel S.C.I. seems to take a still from I, Spy, but I can't find the right shot. Yeah, the dude looks like Cosby in that series, and the woman could fit traced over the other guy's face.

The guy on the right reminds me of Blixa Bargeld.

Page 4 is up now, including many unanswered questions for you guys to help figure out.
I forgot the Silent Hill/Kindergarten stuff, though, and one or two smaller things. Gonna put them in tomorrow or so...

Some of this just blows my mind e.g. the Thunder Blade title screen. Today, it's probably much harder to get away with this. Btw. I found this also remarkable, although I don't think it quite counts, because I think this game was basically a parody, but still: Attachments:

Also I remembered another game with lookalikes: the Genesis version of Super Monaco GP, on the Rival Selection screen on Championship Mode. Might upload a pic later. EDIT: Man, Sega certainly did get away with that Thunder Blade title screen, eh? Especially considering the amount of rereleases Super Thunder Blade has had (Sega Genesis Collection, Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, Virtual Console and Steam). Speaking of Super, that game's highscore screen also has a digitized picture. I have no idea if it's stolen from anything, though. As for Metal Gear 2, I'm pretty sure George Kessler is supposed to be Dolph Lundgren. Also I can't remember where was it that I read it but Holly White is supposed to be Kim Basinger. Speaking of After Burner, the attract mode has plenty of digitized pics. I might upload a pic of them later, of both the Genesis and 32X versions.

I think the one to the left of the MC Hammer lookalike is supposed to be Vanilla Ice. Funny thing, one of the more widespread photos of Vanilla Ice makes him look like the guy to the right of MC Hammer. For the left one, the hair seems to fit, but I can't find any pictures of Vanilla Ice with that kind of smirk. I'm kinda reluctant to connect it to him, cause he doesn't fit the pattern by the other characters (martial artists and action movie heroes) and Harimaoh lacks many of his key features (balding, birthmark, mild look)...

Chiyonofuji Mitsugu perhaps? Famous sumo wrestler. Several photos imply a similar face, but I couldn't find one with the same raised/angry eyebrows. Not sure if those were on the original, or added.

I posted this a long time ago on some other thread, but the flyer image for Konami's Devil World is totally a ripoff of the Return of the Jedi poster (but still super awesome!):
EDIT: Whoops! I jumped to conclusions...haha! I should've read the thing first!
