More from Best of Best. The game randomly has a picture of Arnold in it, with the hair dyed blue. Shalin's character portrait looks familiar and traced too. Any idea? I noticed this and a few other stolen things from SunA games in this post hg101.proboards.com/post/250251I dunno if this counts but Cyrax,s profile artwork from Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance is pretty much in the exact same pose as US nes cover of Megaman.

Oh right, Skate or Die 1 & 2 has character artwork 'inspired' from other characters such as The Little Mermaid and Rodney Dangerfield.

More The Punisher and Ocean. According to Simon Butler on the Ocean Facebook page a few of the cut scenes in Navy Seals was also from The Punisher "like I said, we were all working against the clock, so you grab your inspiration where you can". Navy Seals (Amiga) The Punisher #4

Said cutscene is also on the Game Boy version, from what I can recall.

A quick Googling seems to indicate that neither of them had a beard at the time the game was released.

Sort of tied to this, but it seems Guru Larry made a video mentioning a lot of the major examples given in the article:

A quick Googling seems to indicate that neither of them had a beard at the time the game was released. That doesn't mean that it wasn't added after. I'm pretty sure that Arnold never had blue hair, but he does in the shot at the top of this page.

True, but it's less likely to be a trace, then, especially if you don't have the original matching picture.

Any idea about this one (Virtua Racing - Arcade)? Maybe it's just a generic design but these 2 characters share some similarities:

This one from Sentinel Worlds... Looks a lot like Dieter Meier from 80's electro-pop group Yello, I can't find the exact same image but I'm pretty certain he sits in that exact pose in one of their videos. Yello seems to confuse google image so I had a hard time finding a fitting image, so this none 80's one has to suffice. Didn't want to make a new post, but here's a video from '83 www.youtube.com/watch?v=O74zc9aIe4oAlso, they made the theme to that Space Adventure Cobra movie released in Europe.
