I suppose its too early to ask if there is any chance of a translation of the game?

I said earlier that it wouldn't be an Ys game if Adol wasn't in it. Under the present circumstances though, all is forgiven. Though the game looks to be set squarely in Ys and Esteria, I'm wondering how much of the Ys IV: Dawn of Ys backstory and plot will be carried over (at least based on Deuce's translations up at GameFAQs- with the Priest of Fact from 700 years ago being the original Dark Fact, spawning Darm and all, etc.) Looks very interesting to say the least.

Here's the trailer for this one, pretty awesome: Click!I think I can enjoy this game even without Adol. Edit: Oh yeah, this must be the first time Falcom has used actual ANIMATION in their videos. ;D

...oh shit this looks awesome.
I wonder if they'll go another uber bundle like Felghana which I will need to purchase out of honor and duty.

The music track for the trailer is excellent. I'm hoping some classic Ys I tunes get used as well.

I've never played Ys before Where should I start?
Is the PSP game as bad as I hear it is?

The PSP Ys game Ark of Napishtim is not bad. Its actually more faithful to the original PC version. Ark of Napishtim for the PS2 is much better in my opinion. As far to start, I would play Ys Book I and II for the Turbo DUO. You can emulate via Magic Engine emulator if you dont have the original hardware.
