FWIW at least making Jessica survive is really hard.
And Emily surviving is just not right.

Fully completed Little Nightmares Switch version, both Six and The Kids scenarios, last night.
Also, I know that a number of indie games for the Switch have been released to the physical format in stores (in the form of digital cards I think.) I'm wondering if there's a list or website somewhere online that can tell me what is currently out along with what future games are coming out in physical format. Some games I know are Rime, Hyper Light Drifter (I think,) and Little Nightmares.
Currently playing The Way Remastered.

I was just reading on the often-entertaining Supper Mario Broth that apparently the Coleco Adam version of Donkey Kong Junior had an extra level in some versions. And you accessed it with a code! You could freakin' knock out Mario! It blows my mind that such sophistication was known in that time. This is the stuff of schoolyard legends. www.mariowiki.com/List_of_Donkey_Kong_Jr._pre-release_and_unused_content#Coleco_AdamYou may recall Coleco and Nintendo had something of a cozy relationship that eventually soured Atari on ever having anything to do with the NES.

The realization that we nicknamed 50M in Donkey Kong "Pie Factory" and here we have a secret level where Mario baked literal pies.

I finished EDF 5 (giant space bugs!) with my brother this past week. Been playing this series since the Xbox 360 going on a decade now. Just simple shooting big alien bugs. Also finished A Wolf Among Us. Great story, where I was always trying to figure out who was behind what and why. The gameplay, however, left much to be desired. Regardless, fun game, interesting Noirish story, and the ending left me with even more questions. Shame there won’t be a sequel. The game world had so many Possibilities

Pinstripe
I had a good time with this narrative-driven physics-based puzzle platformer. It's vaguely reminscent of Limbo, albeit not as difficult, comined with some Point&Click-like elements and a Nightmare before Christmas-esque aesthetic. Visual design, music, voice acting and sound design are all excellent and together create a wonderfully creepy atmosphere. The game's well-told story deals with rather heavy subjects like loss of loved ones and sustance abuse. But there are some humourous and silly bits in there, too. For the most part it plays well, but some of the more action-heavy segments feel a bit out of place due to abrupt difficulty spikes - they are still doable, though. Also, because of the rather ambitious story and the more mature themes, some of the more game-y cliché-elements seem a bit disconnected from the main plot. But that's something most story-heavy games tend to struggle with and it did not have a huge impact on my overall enjoyment.

I finally started up Uncharted 4 after almost 3 years and well..... WOW, it's one of the most impressive looking games I've ever seen. This is basically my face the whole time when playing it, especially that part early on where you're underwater.

Pity the game is such a chore and boring. It doesn't know when you shut up.

Hmm, i have been sparing some money to get a Switch in the future, but it's been released for a few years now and there are rumors of a PS5 and XBOX Scarlett in the internet making me wonder if it's wise to buy a Switch now. Also, heard some rumors of a Switch Pro or Mini being possible, which sounds cool and all but also make me wary of buying it now. Probably doesn't help that aside from some exclusives like Mario Odyssey, Bayonetta and Smash, a lot of the games i want are also on the PC, only portable. Like, Wargroove is coming to Switch also, and quite a few games i already own or haven't only bought because i am possibly considering the Switch. ...On happier news, just found out about an upcoming Pinball game that looks to be inspired by games like Devil's Crush, it's called Demon's Tilt and so far seems to be heading to PC only: And it looks pretty damn rad.

The "rumors" about an updated Switch are more like wishful thinking, and I don't see it as being super likely. The DSi and New 3DS both came out over 4 years into the life of their systems to boost sales and the Switch is in no need. What would the point even be?
The screen already has a fairly high PPI, and moving that to 1080 would put it slightly higher than an iPhone but it's also generally further away so the effect would be less pronounced. I feel like this would be the most likely.
A new size would bifurcate the accessory market mainly for JoyCons in a way that a different DS form factors didn't. Plus there's the matter of Labo compatibility.
4K TV support seems exceptionally unlikely.

Pity the game is such a chore and boring. It doesn't know when you shut up. I couldn't disagree more, the point of the game is to make you feel like you're on an adventure, an Indiana Jones type movie starring you. And at that the game succeeds brilliantly, the treasure Nate is looking for this time is really cool (very Goonies esque) and it's exciting to piece the clues together, plus the writing and acting is top notch. Obviously this is one of those games that's more about the overall "experience" than the basic gameplay, but there's nothing wrong with the gameplay, in fact it's a little improved over its predecessors, the shooting feels weightier and a little less generic and this time you have the option of stealth instead of just shooting everyone you see, which is neat.
